Does anyone know if Kawasaki offers an ABS upgrade brake kit to install on the 2012 ZX14r? I know it is there on the 2013 models at a much higher pricing.

Would love to install one on my bike....if they are or do....anyone have any idea of prices?

If they aren't...I think they will be...in a little while..gotta try and get those new 2013's out first.All the mounting spots on the frame and the sensor is already there....everything is ready for the piping and stuff.The abs mapping may ALREADY be in the 2012's...just sitting there...waiting.

I personally don't think ABS upgrade kits will become available from K, especially that the '13 US spec bikes now have it as OE. The mounting points may be there but when you consider what has to be installed, pump, piping, sensors and wiring, brake discs, possibly even a new ECU?. I certainly wouldn't want the job of fitting it.

Yeah...I was tryin to get some info on that from my dealer...the site shows abs models,and non-abs models...and then mentions 'optional' somewhere on there.Both 'models' are shown in the slideshow...colorwise anyway...they're the same.I wanted a white one..cause I saw the ABS decal on the front fender...he told me that's not available in the US...the abs one that is.But then what about 'optional'?That's where I got confused...he couldn't order a white one with the 'optional' ABS.Maybe I read the site wrong....possible.Then they added the Gold Blazoned Green(without the flames)to the lineup...I went with that...abs.It's a 2012 SE is what it is....w/abs
