Greetings everybody! So just out of curiosity what do you folks think the average age of a ZX rider would be? I know in my case the salesman looked at me and said "you want to buy that? Anyway, I turn 65 in April and I got my 2024 Anniversary bike about two weeks ago. No this isn't my first bike by any means as it shares space with numerous Harleys (from 1917 to 2018) and one old Triump. And yes...... I have raised the handlebars and moved the foot pegs lol. We are adapting each other.

had been riding smaller cc bikes before switching about 10 years ago to a zx14r (and to a zzr1400, as they are called in Europe)

talking to my dealers in Indonesia where i live, and in Europe where i spend some free time, they reckon these models are "old men's toys" and as such they do not have them on their showroom inventories anymore

I'm 69. I'll be 70 in June. Still doing roll on races from 40 mph to about 180 mph, although I said in a post about a year or so ago that I was done doing that. Never lost a race. It's very addictive. I really don't want to keep doing that. Something that will help me stop - in a month or 2 I'm ordering a 2025 Kawasaki Z900RS from my local dealer. I talked to him today and got an out the door price. My wife said I'll have to sell my 14R. I said no way. I ordered the 14R in January 2012 and I'm never selling it.
I just love the Z900RS. (RS for retro sport). I love the upright position and the retro look.
I had bought a 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 brand new and these remind me so much of that bike except with more horsepower and modern technology. I guess I'm going back in time to my 20's.

jjohnson, congratulations on your new anniversary 14R. Rook on here has one, too. They are beautiful bikes and you're going to love it.

Almost 58 here. I tend to get some strange looks when I take my helmet off and they see a gray haired older guy.ive had gpz 750,zx9, zx11 and a hayabusa before I boughr my 13 model new.
