Well guys the Loring event is about two and a half weeks away! I've prepared my baby about as good as I can. The only thing left I want to do is change out my rear tire to a 190/55/17. I'm going to run 17/41 and bring a 40 rear just in case. My limiter has been bumped up to 11,700. I'm also going to bring her to my tuner and having her tuned for MR12 for just a little more power! I safety wired the entire bike and installed the lanyard that they call for so we are good to go.

I need to check the number off my list. Hoping for 205 but will be more than happy with 200!

With 211 hp you should have some room to add a go pro lol

Just have tuner make A/F a good bit richer than for street, of course. It will help you get past 180 quicker, even if it slows down 0-80 a bit.

Yeah I'm not sure where she will be but as long as i get the number I'll be happy. I've been running a 55 rear for a long time but got a free 50 so I had to use it. My dyno guy is real good and has set up many maps for Top Speed runs so I'm sure I'll be fine. I can't wait to see how she pulls with the MR12. I'm told she should pick up 8 to 10HP more....

Thanks guys!! I'm in the final prep stages now. Just got my 55 rear on there. She's all ready to go other than taking off the mirrors and installing the block offs. I'm just waiting for the Power Comander map switch to come in and then I'm headed to the tuner to make the MR12 map. I was in the bike shop the other day and saw cans of VP racing fuel so I asked the guy if they had MR12 and he says no that stuff is eleagal. Shit I'm thinking and fuel that is eleagal in my state I have to have!!!! Lol
Hope to have the map done this Thursday or Friday. I have an enclosed U haul 6x12' trailer rented and I'm going to install eye bolts through the floor to hold my gir

Instead of drilling holes in the Uhaul floor, get a 4x4 and a half sheet of plywood. Put the 4x4 across the plywood, I used 3/8s, eye bolts in the 4x4. put bike on plywood with front tire against the 4x4. Run tie downs from bars/triple clamp to eye bolts. Make sure spacing of eye bolts keeps straps away from fairing. Can run straps across to keep pallet from sliding. I only bothered with this once. Weight of bike seems to take care of it.

I used this setup for a total of about 4,000 miles in a few different trailers.

Somefun on my 07 I used the adhesive mount on the inside of my windscreen and ran the go pro in upside down mode,had the bike over 280 kph with out any problems

Ran redline for 2miles last night on turbo bike 17/45 gearing. Should have been 17/40. ,,,,My only wish,,,,,, Ear Plugs. I always forget. I hope this helps. cheers

Hi Somefun. Forgive me, but I am not familiar with the Loring event. Is it possible you could post some info for me please? Good look with your run and don't worry about the camera thing. Trust me,when you are sat at the line ready to do your run a camera will be the last thing on your mind.

Well I was talking to my buddy that has a Busa and will be making the trip with me. We decided as long as the weather is good we are going to ride the ladies up there! Trailering them there just doesn't feel right. Lol We're going to ride them up and then pull right into tec inspection. Real riding! Then rip off 200 plus with a true run whatcha brung!!! Should be a blast!

Well I put the final touches to my baby last night. Just going to pack the great tonight and head out at 4:00 am. We have tec inspection on Thursday and we run on Friday and Saterday. The first few runs are shake down runs up to 150, 175 then it there is enought time we may be able to get the full WOT run Friday afternoon but if not it will be on Sat. Should be a blast man I hope I make the number.....

Well guys just got back from the run.....I have to say it's a pain in the butt trying to do this the right way and not on some highway some where. You have to make 3 runs at differant speeds to be able to run WOT. 125, 150, 175. That took two days to get that done due to the lines and weather. But I finally got to run on Sat. The only problem was we had a freaking head with of about 15 to 20 knots. I got up to make my 175 pass I ran it to 11,500 in each gear and stayied in 5th for that run. I corssed the line at 11,500 at 185.4. So for my WOT run I did the same thing but I shifted too early at about 11,000 and she dropped down to 10,000 rpms and wouldn't pull it up cuz of the wind. I got 186 mph. I had to leave on that note. But the next freakng day there was a 15 mph tail wind and everyone was running 10 to 15 MPH faster.....So it looks like I would have got my 200! There is one more run this september and I'm going! Also just in case we have a head wind I'm going to come packing a 30 shot of NOS!!!!! I ain't FN around! lol

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. What speed did your buddy on the Busa get?
