I did some rough calculations as follows. I don’t think that my 500lb target is realistically possible for two-up riding without some serious butchering which I'm unwilling to do.

You will be 12 lbs away from 500 lbs. I guess I wouldn't touch the frame if you plan to ride 2 up but you can still get rid of of unnecessary inner fairings, horn, coolant reservoir...you might get there or at least come very close.

You can be close, but not with a full tank without serious work. I usually run about a gallon-gallon and a half of fuel, and I weighed mine at the track a while back and it was 518lbs. Only thing I have taken off was the passenger pegs and mud flap, and mirrors, but added an evil arm and ti winder.

So here is where I'm at now with a full tank of gas. Better than expected result or a crappy measurements?
It is definitely tough to weigh it accurately with two digital bathroom scales. Analog scales would have been easier.
My predictions:
Actual weight:

If your weight is with topped off tank then you are 10 lb less than me. I have stock mirrors, seat, and pegs, but BSTs are lighter by couple of pounds.
BTW, pics did not come through.
Here are mine:

I'm not so sure you want to ride around on a race seat but it sure looks cool. I plan to cut down an OEM seat in a similar fashion and get rid of the seat lock. there are screw holes for the seat lock and a couple more unthreaded holes right by it on the Gen1 that could be used for seat bolts. Screw them right through a cut down seat into the frame below. Then you have a couple screws under your butt but at least you have some padding. The OEM seat is pretty light as is. Lighter than any aftermarket seats (with the exception of that Catalyst seat, I guess).
Thing I don't like about aftermarket seats is they all have the hump (butt stopper) a couple inches forward. If you have a long torso, a seat with a hump that goes all the way back to the cowl is nice to flatten down in a tuck...but I guess chopping 2-3" out of the height helps with that. That's the whole idea of a race seat...that and the weight reduction.

I never weighed it, but my Sargent seat is only a frame under the rear cowl, and gives me plenty of room.

Mine is probably in the mid 500. I just don't see shedding another 20-30 lbs making that much difference for general road riding. I've actually added some weight back on with the center stand and rear rack. The added utility is more than worth the little extra heft.
