FINALLY RODE IT
01/31/12 11:04 AM

The hazards of to many bikes in the gayrage means something is gonna sit. Anyway nice day for a change getting off work and go pull the 14 out. Have not rode it since I put the APE manual cam chain adjuster on so now was a good time. I fergot how smooth the bike was and never get out of 6th on the hiway even at 45 mph. It may be a little sluggish in 6th at 45 mph but it picks up and stays with the cages so why downshift.

Did you guyz know that if you run 1st out to 70 mph with the front just a few inches off the concrete and snatch 2nd kinda firm with a little more throttle that the front will tend to get a little more air under it?

Musta just caught everything right because I was told only Busa's do that.

lol You're only scratching the surface. Shame on you for letting the 14 seat like that!

Nice to know Lytnin. LMAO

I experimented with my '10 in first, but have not pushed the '14 quite that hard. Of course reading that the '10 would break 100 mph in first made me investigate.

@zxinit: My friend do it all the time. 100 mph in first.... it's gotta feel nice.
@lytnin: I agree with Cooter- Third is sweet as well. For me the fun ends in 4th but on a closed course 5th should be nice too. When I time it right from 3rd to 4th, she makes a noise reminiscent of the sound a thoroughbred makes when you've been holding the reins too tight for too long. What makes it better is when you do that passing another vehicle, it's like she leaps forward.....PRICELESS
That and when you're getting on the interstate via a ramp and the moron in the cage is trying to beat you to the entry point or sometimes they'll brake hard and after seeing you go they understand they didn't have to break lol

I took the beemer out last night since it also sat for awhile but it was more to make sure I had everything back together right and no extra motor noises. I put a cam chain jump guard and APE manual adjuster on it so had to check it out.
The beemer is a nice ride but after getting off the 14 the beemer feels like it couldn't beat the shit out of a dirty diaper.

Maybe that is why the 14 sits so much because after riding it I feel like I have four 49cc bikes in the gayrage.
