gen1 wheels vs. gen2 wheels

Has anyone installed a set of Gen2 wheels on a Gen1. I like the looks of the Gen 2's better and I think I read somewhere that there lighter.

Ready set go! Too late! Bought new discs, new tone wheel$. You can pull yours off, but I rotate wheels as you know how this bike likes to eat tires.

Answer?: Use any gen1 wheels to any gen2 wheels F&R and vise/verse.

I like the naked with the air filters in place of the air ducts and the round head light! Are you still using the stock filter in the frame or just the ones on the outside?

I thought the gen 2 wheels were lighter.

nas: Using all 3 filters to keep the compression up. Yeah, pull the OE if I want a little more pep in the step. That's how I ran the '06 before I totaled that one. Lots of wheelies, etc.

Rook: Yes, gen2 lost 3 pounds on the rear is it? Proportional less on the front too? I already have tires mounted on the other set ready to go. If I remember the next round, I'll weigh the 4 rims out.

there are some pictures of the wheels gen2 on the zx14 gen 1?
how is the final weight difference gen1 vs gen2 wheels?
I am very interested because there's no money for aftermarket wheels!
