New guy from the PI....BIKES HERE!
01/14/13 2:54 AM

Hi all. My names Dave and I'm an American expat living in the Philippines. I ride a 2012 Ninja 650R right now but should be picking up my 2013 ZX-14r in Midnight Saphirre Blue in Feb when I get home from work (I'm a safety consultant on oil rigs). Just wanted to let myself be known. Been riding off and on for about 15 years, but still a newb on alot of stuff so take it easy on me if I ask a dumb question lol. Look forward to learning from you guys and passing on something I've learned from time to time.

Dave

Picked up the new bike yesterday and all I can say is wow! I didn't really know what to expect as I've never driven a bike with that much power, but it surpassed my wildest dreams. I had it on low power and traction 2 and about blew myself of the back on the first hard run down the interstate. It drops into corners like a dream, and I found myself going almost 3 times as fast in corners as I ever dared push my ninja 650r without even pushing it. I followed the hard break in putting 71km as hard as I dared on it and dropping the oil for some fresh Shell dino juice. The oil looked horrid, thick dirty black, with gold dust in suspension as discussed on here previously. I was very queezy handing over almost $20k USD for it but the first good launch made up for it. Looking forward to the rest of the break in and getting some goodies on it.

My buddy with my 650R after trying to keep up on the break in run.

And last my buddy with both girls.

Charlotte the 650 and Famine (Third rider of the apocalypse) the ZX-14R

Gee, your buddy doesn't look too happy having to chase your 14 around. Imagine that...
