yea that sucks with a black bike... never owned one but i was thinking i liked that color the best.
if you go to the local auto shops.. i think now they have waxes out.... that have more of a gloss to hide some of the swills and stuff.
i try not to sweet the small stuff any more... just wasted energy.
ride safe !!

Give an update when you get back from the dealer. What dealer if you don't mind me asking? My dealer just updated my order to "delayed till January". Bullshit!!!!
My old '00 ZX12R that I sold in 2005. Maybe you seen it around town back then?

next time your at that dealer tell him to go to cycletrader.com.... i have seen the prices anywhere from 500 to 1200/1400/ off hes living a kawaski wet dream.... the bike has gone to his head.
i bet the car he drives doesn't even cost that much. lol
if i have to pay 14 and change and then tax and stuff you would be over 15 grand....shit i never spend that much on a car... but im cheapskate !!
the day i spend over 15 grand is the day i take the bridge. but that's just me .
remember i ride a 09 fz6 list 7299.00 payed 5149.00 but there was a rebate and it was leftover model year.
good luck don't let them get you in over your head for a motorcycle. next year they will be a dime a dozen when the next great bike comes along.
hayabusa 1690cc just kidding but you never know what they are working on...... this up's the anty so we all win !

It shouldn't be too difficult getting a decent price on a new one. For example, the invoice of the green (most expensive) model is $12964. There's a decent hold-back so the dealer won't go hungry if they only tack a few hundred over invoice for profit. So figure $600-$700 over invoice to cover profit and their prep and assy and you would have a accepted offer of approximately $13,500 plus tax and tag. That's a $1400 savings off of sticker, the dealer make nearly a grand in profit and the buyer doesn't feel raped.
I'd just shop around until you find a fair price. It truly is a buyers market.

I'm going to wait till spring and decide now winter is setting in and I'm not crazy about trailering my bike around in the snow. I might just wait till they start having left overs I bought mine in Nov of '08 left over new '07 for $8500 otd. Regardless what I decide there is no way I'm letting mine go for $4600 that guy is off his rocker. He told me 26,000 miles was an awful lot of miles for a bike and that these big bikes are known for transmission problems I said where the hell did you ever hear that from.

When you go to buy the bike used he will say these things go forever. Mine has almost 32K on it must be ready for the junk yard.

this reminds me of the jerkoff salesmen i had to deal with one time... drove over to the dealer will my trade in 2010 ninja 250r.
the bike had a one of kind yosh full system stainless with carbon can..and the guy selling bikes tells me the stock system cost more. lol
crazy shit i ever heard in all the bikes places i have been too... could not wait to leave the place after i heard that statement. what wackjob... i should told him it was hanging in my celler and he could buy it for 75 bucks.

When we got there the salesman called the owner to see what they were supposed to do as far as trade in price and he said have us unload them and the service manager will look them over and give us a price. So we unloaded them and the service manager flips out on the salesman screaming and swearing at him because he can't appraise them when there is snow because he can't ride them. So evidently the owner told him what he was going to do and in the end his trade offer was book value.

I had 51,000 miles on my 14...an 07....pretty much pristine condition. My guy gave me 4 grand...that's with several excellent mods included with it.Including...a set of TiForce Dual slip-ons....in excellent condition I might add.I was okay with it.I knew going in I wouldn't get 'too much' for her.51,000 IS a lot of miles considering a new bike isn't that much more expensive. So basically,I ended up paying 11,000 and some change for my new 14R.Not bad IMO.I'm happy with it all.

They are going to sell a ton of these bikes. A lot of people will buy them that can't afford them and there will be good deals to be had if you can be patient enough. I gave $5600 for my 06 in 09 and it had 570 miles on it. My ZX only has 17K and runs and looks great, so I can wait on a good deal when it comes along.

dam grn you payed 11 grand and you throw in a 14... that guy must been walking around with a hard on over the bike...but that"s what happens some times when you get in real early like you did.
you were not 1st on your block... maybe 1st one in your state... that's how was with the 98 r1 until the guy drove the bike to califorina. from ny
but you have green se not many will... movie stars sometimes spend 10 tp 15 grand on a dress and only wear it once....or go to hawai for a week or 2. lol
