2006 14 should I buy it?
05/10/12 9:01 PM

There is a black 06 with 2k on it guys asking 5800 o.b.o I'm thinking i'll hit him with a 5k cash offer and hope he takes it.
my question. How much would I be looking at to put a stretch fender swing arm slam it air shifter pipe tune etc. Basically make it a drag bike. What would a rough gestimate equal out too.

No. You already have one bike that is better suited for what you are considering.

If you can afford another I would get something as different as possible.

You think I would be better off stretching the 14R? I want to run it at the track often so I don't know if I should do it to the R? Input?

I'm not a drag racer but the 14R seems to be well liked at zx-14.com where many drag racers post. I haven't heard any say they want a gen 1 back to race.

I can see why you wouldn't want to have your street ride outfitted for racing but I have heard of pleanty of people who have used there 14 on the street and the track.

If you have the money, i guess I would mod the 14r and ride the gen 1 on the street----or get a busa at least it would give you an idea of what the other hyperbike is like. I have both and AFAIC it they are too close. At this point, I would rather have a 600 for a second bike.

Actually, what I really would do instead of buy a second bike is boost what you already have.

you need a car. That V-rod is a cool bike though.

Buy it and trade me plastics and tank. I want a black one and you know you'd rather have a red one. Right?????
