Noob to The ZX14
01/24/15 10:40 PM

Hello fellow ZX14 riders, I'm Deo. Picked up my first kawasaki last May while at a bike week. Being a diehard Suzuki guy, I originally wanted a Busa. However the Kawaski dealers are more willing to work with you on the price and they gave me a deal I couldn't pass up. I truly love this bike and wished I opened my eyes to the kawasaki camp sooner. I also had the pleasure of riding a boosted zx10r and now have set my goals on turbocharging mine. I look foward to expanding my knowledge using this forum, along with get to know other owners of a awesome bike.

l have a gen2 busa and a gen1 14, love both but i could have easily done with one or the other. If it's a Gen2 14r you bought, I'm sure you have a clear power advantage over a busa. I wouldn't be surprised if Kaw and Zuk don't sit down together every year to decide how and when to update their bikes so that they each maximize profits. If this were not so, Suzuki would blow the 14 out of the water with an updated busa. All they do is meet the standard set by Kawasaki.

When the Busa came out, it smoked the ZX11.
Kawi failed to beat it with the ZX12, though it was close. They had a bike that would beat it, but neutered it for the "Gentlemen's agreement."
I don't see Suzi beating the ZX14R anytime soon. Kawasaki builds bikes for fun, not to stay afloat.

If Kawasaki was an American company, you would have NASA on the side of your fuel tank. That's the kind of stuff Kawasaki builds. Bikes are just a hobby of theirs'.

Bikes also happen to be a hobby of mine, and I'm Team Green all the way.

GYSOT!!!

Let's roll
