Took off the long swingarm and went stock plus a few chrome and blue goodies and some powdercoat.

VARE -EEEE NICE!!! Love those white ones! She's an ornery one just vicious enough to satisfy a 14 owner. A little more on the smooth side compared to my gen 1. Smooth but by no means soft! How does she feel cornering with the stock swingarm? I always thought it felt more precise in a corner until I got the 14's rear end up a few mm higher. Now the 14 is the sharp handler among the two.

I think they're different enough to own both. Mod them a little differently for additional accent.

Was gonna ask you about that...go with the PC5+Ignition and you want a PC5 secondary module, not a primary like we have for the 14. The secondary module is for 8 injectors. You can use a primary module on a busa and many say it's unnecessary except for boost to tune uppers but if you got 'em why not be able to tune them? The price is the same for a secondary module as it is for a primary.

I went with Bazzaz on my busa to try something different and also because it tunes all injectors. At the time i got it, the PC5 secondary was not available. Bazzaz fuel tables are a bit less complex than Dj. You have fewere columns for TP%. Some say that is cruder, others say it makes no dif because the both Bazzaz and PC5 make a calculated guess between TP% columns anyway. In other words, if you are at neither TP 20% or TP 30%, the fuel module will automatically choose a fuel # in between those two TP%s. I have not tuned with the Bazzaz yet but my busa runs as smooth with a good map as it did on the stock ECU settings. Nothing crude or choppy about it. The real downside to going Bazzaz is that they have no ignition module. You have to go to another manufacturer for that and it can't be Dj because those need a PC5 to hook up to. I almost bought an SB6 which is the only timing module I'm aware of that works with Bazzaz. Bazzaz has a kickass quickshifter/traction control/fueling module if you want to spend the bucks. Bazzaz also makes a self tuning module which I have but not used yet. It is inferior to Dj's self tuners. THe Bazzaz tuner will work but it will be a more laborious process. I also do not know if it makes closed loop adjustments like the Dj tuners.

Best way that I know of is to go with an ECU editor box. You have complete control of everything like a flash but you do not alter the programming of the ECU at all. It's very affordable too. Contact Boost by Smith on the org.

Pulling flies slows the busa down. Unfortunately, I can feel mine when I'm on the throttle hard and it bugs the living daylights out of me. You can tune them with a flash or ECU Editor. I have heard of one person pulling flies and he claimed it made the bike a wheelie happy monster. That was probably a bit of an overstatement but you will see that busa has something extra way down low. You're making a few more ft/lbs of Tq and it does like to wheelie if you want it to. That makes it less desirable for drag racing for many but I like it just fine.

Didn't you own a Gen1 busa at one time, Bobby?

Yeah at 1 time I had a gen 1 and a guy brought it from me while it was in pieces getting ready to paint. I like the feel of the busa and kinda missed it so when it was right I bought another but I knew I wanted the bigger motor on the gen 2. I think imma go with the brock/ghul flash since it came with a full brocks and get the street/strip map from brock. My buddy loves his and told imma need to put the arm back on if I do or its gonna wheelie, so that tells me im in for a fun ride because I really don't mind the wheel in the air LOL. I am gonna look in the DJ modules and do some adding on. So far its still the 14 first out of the garage. I will put up another pic soon as I put it all back together, been giving it a good once over new chain and spockets, tune up, oil and antifreeze, cleaning and what not but overall its a clean and great bike.

I grew to love the down point on the Gen1 busa. You do need to do a blackout flushmount lense on the directionals.

Stock tail lights look fine with white.

Ooooooooo GOT-tam! That 14 is one mean beotch but the busa is so damn pretty and just waiting to spring the shark trap! White seats are beautiful, bobby. ..and that black Gen1....I don;t think they will ever design a better looking hyperbike. That is the CLASSIC!

...sometimes when I think about selling, I can only see doing it if I sell both. If I had only one, I'd never stop thinking about the other one....kind of how I ended up having both in the first place.
