Every bike I have ever owned had black rims and my new 2016 se has dark gray and just can't get used to them, it's the only thing I don't like about it. Anyone ever paint them or have them painted professionally? Any tips or advice would be great, I think they would look better black. thanks

Powder coat. These rims where a bronze color.

Usually around 250-300 for a set of rims, stripped.

For powder coating, ceramic coating, I use "Spooky Fast Customs" in Scottsdale AZ

They do excellent work, fair price and take responsibility if they screw anything up.

I usually polish the lips on my wheels but my 2013 came stock this way..
Polishing costs me about $150 per wheel if the wheel has been painted or PCed.

Powder coating or some sort of epoxy or hard wearing
paint finish is the way to go. Don't be tempted to use standard automotive paint or rattle can spray as it won't last 5 mins. JMO

@ Piken, I'm about to powder coat mine green. Do you happen to know if the color of green you chose matches Kawasaki Green? Or was it just a guess. If it's a match, I'd love to know the paint code

It is not a custom color. I believe it is a "stock" powder coating color.

It's close to Kaw, but I'd say it's a shade off.

I also spray paint my wheel weights to match and I use Dupli-color "Grabber Green"

I believe "Grabber Green" is a standard color from an old Mopar day?

You could always pick up a can and see how you like the color.
