RE: 2011 ZX-10R 188HP Rear Wheel

Was at a dealership today. The claimed that they have the inside scoop and kawi has informed them that they know the bike is not going to sell in America unless it can be as good as the Euro zx-10. The engine for the US bike is the same as the Euro. All it needs is a couple simple electronic mods and an exhaust and it wiil be every bit the beast of the European bike. Nice. Let the battle begin.

^^Good luck on that, Hub. It IS their responsibility to protect you from yourself. At least that is what I've been told.
There is a speed limit. Should we have a sex partner limit? You do more than 65 and you get a ticket for risking your own life.

Reigning South African national superbike and supersport champion Sheridan Morais, who clinched the South African superbike championship in both 2008 and 2009 on Kawasaki ZX-10R motorcycles spent a couple of days testing the new Ninja at Magny-Cours in October, after he’d been signed by Team Lorenzini by Leoni to ride the factory bike in the 2011 FIM Superstock series. As a factory contracted Kawasaki racer, Shez was allocated his own ZX-10R for the two-day test, while the other three standard bikes at the track were shared by a group of hopefuls under consideration for the second rider’s slot in the team. “Kawasaki had previously taken the full World Superbike specification bikes out for testing, but they hadn’t run the stock bike on the track yet, so they wanted me to play around with it a little,” says Sheridan, who surprised both himself and the team by lapping the virtually stock machine at a pace within 1,2 seconds of the fastest lap set in the World Superstock race at the same circuit just days before. This was on a bike that was bog standard except for the tyres, handlebar levers and a slip-on exhaust silencer. “The crew and I all expected us to be about three seconds off the pace, so we were very happy when we saw what we could do with so little preparation.”
So what impressed Sheridan the most about the new Kawasaki? “I’ve been racing the Aprilia RSV-4 at home this year, and that really handles superbly, but I couldn’t fault the new ZX-10 - the old one could be a bit of a handful at times. The power is definitely the biggest thing though. The track was open for two days and the World Superbike teams were testing as well. When they wanted to pass me they had to slipstream me way down the straight before they could pull out and get past. The weight saving is also noticeable – the new bike feels much nimbler than the old. The technicians told me that they measured 198,8 horsepower in their dyno tests, and they’ve apparently found another 15 or so since then. Motorcycles racing in the FIM Superstock series are allowed considerably more modifications than our South African superbike championship regulations permit, so the bike in race trim should be a real flyer.”

"Cramming all that fuel and air into this amazing new engine is a ram air-assisted fuel injection system featuring larger throttle bodies (47 vs. 43mm) and sub-throttle valves."
You have that exhaust actuator and that means 207hp is not in the way wink-wink. Narrow my ride and now sit and hide on a bike the size of a SRX-600cc single?
I dwarf'dis bike. But it was such a comfortable seat to peg, short of numbing the arms. Kick only and you better have that cable off the exhaust on the raggedge. Sure still looks Badass today. She was a keeper but fuckit. Too many bikes to play with.
