Southern California Family Owned Shop!
02/20/11 4:20 AM

I am a true and honest guy when it comes to my bikes and cars...as well as my other toys. I will go to a place that has a one on one feeling of customer service of the days of my grandfather. Unlike the days of the BIG BOX...motorcycle stores of today. Where no one knows your name...let alone your motorcycle.

So, with that said. I was very tired of places like Chapparral. You walk into this huge place and all these youngsters, are grabbing books and trying to find out what the part number is of a ZX-1400 brake fluid resevoir. After they fiddle around for a few minutes....you just wince in pain and pull out the part number for them. They go...OH! Thanks...that's it. It will be a seven day wait for that part to come in...what else do you need. ARG!

Well, less than three weeks ago, I decided to sit down and punch in some key words in GOOGLE, to see if there was by GODS gift, another little shop somewhere around my house here in Highland, San Bernardino, Fontana, Rialto...INLAND EMPIRE area...other than the above mentioned store.

UP POPS a shop by the name of GIZMOTO HIGH PERFORMANCE MACHINES in Highland California...just three blocks from my house! HUH! How can this be? Well it turns out the guy moved from the San Fernando Valley to a new home here in Highland and brought his shop with him...seven months ago.

Here is the details of this cool shop. I drive in my three year old ZX-1400 the next day, just to check out the shop. Three weeks ago...it was nothing but stock. I had been wanting to dress it up...as the ECONOMY has kept me from buying a new bike, like I normally do every three years. Plus the bike just broke 12,000 miles. Yeah I know. That is another story. In three years my BUSA had 48,000 miles. LOL!

To stay with the story. I was able to meet the owner, Guillermo "GIZMO" a Ruff Ryder Mechanic and rider for well over ten years and shop owner, along with his wife. This place is medium size and have all types of toys. Oh, and yes the owner walks around the shop and helps you OH and AH at the toys...and will pull out any type of book and photos to show you how those toys will look on your bike...and at a price that is to GOOD TO BE TRUE...but it is!

Here is what his shop promotes!

Gizmoto HPM is family owned and operated. Conveniently located in Highland California, We proudly service San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.

We are a full service Shop. Specializing in Custom Projects and Rebuilds. We work on ALL makes and models. Street bikes, Cruisers, dirt bikes and Quads. There is no project to big or to small.

Pretty cool huh! Well in three weeks this is what has happened to my BIKE...ZX-1400 has a new life...on wheels.

1. Custom seat. BY HTMOTO
2. New Driven grips. CHROME
3. New chrome wheels
4. Brake change
5. New Driven chain blue
6. New brake and clutch resevoir
7. New tires
8. New rear bike stand
9. new GPS nuvi installed
10. New wired power plugs from powerlet one front two under trunk for iphone and gps
11. New chrome levers
12. Oil Change and K and N filter. Air as well
13. Cramp buster
14. New Cover for Bike. Water proof.
15. New Blue Tooth Helmet from O'neal and a new Sparks Helmet
16. New Double bubble Windscreen DARK BLACK.
PLUS A TON OF INFORMATION ON WHAT CAN BE DONE TO MY BIKE AND SERVICES THAT ARE SCHEDULED AND NOTED. ALL DONE IN A FIRST NAME BASIS.

No, more BIG BOX MOTORCYCLE STORES FOR ME. I am now a really happy motorcyclist again. The way it should be. First name basis and a place to go and eat Pizza with a guy and a few of his mechanics at lunch time, or just a place to go and see what is new and spend a little bit of money for QUALITY SERVICE.

This is what he has done..."GIZMO". Shop Owner, Ruff Ryder and STUNTFARM SPONSOR AND MECHANIC STUNTFARM

Gizmo's wife is also part owner of shop, as well as a SUPER STREET BIKE MODEL. She will be on the cover of the March 2011 issue!

MY BIKE NOW! Thanks to GIZMO!

PICTURES ARE OF MY BIKE WITH GIZMO WORKING ON SEVERAL ITEMS. WHEELS, CUSTOM SEAT CHAIN AND SO FORTH.

Gizmo Sanchez was able to do all of this work....in three weeks. Rims...and so forth...in less time than it would have taken to order the brake and clutch resevoirs from the BIG BOX MOTORCYCLE STORE.

If you live close by...in the Inland Empire. You need to get to GIZMOTO on Baseline.

You won't expect anything from me. Thats why I just ride and never really post or join boards. Due to self important MOFO like you!

Everytime, on every board it's a few MOFO LIKE YOU!

Who think they know every GD thing, only because they have been a member longer or whatever their simple thinking minds come up with!

Your the reason MOFO get got on the news, by other people they work with!

Then everyone is wondering why...did he walk by ten people to get just that one!

Because of big mouth MOFO, like you!

IF YOU DONT LIVE BY GIZMOTO THEN DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT I POST AND KEEP SHOPPING AND SERVICING YOUR BIKE AT COSTCO, SMART MOUTH MOFO.

My last post on this POS, board!

I like the mom and pop shops too. Sadly, there is just one left in nearly all of San Antonio; Universal City Kawasaki, owned by an old salty goat named Gary, all he sells is Kawasaki's, the bldg is old, dusty, poorly merchandised, messy corners full of old crap from many years' of models and parts; pretty cool place to visit though!

Come on, Surf, don't let one comment drive you away. The place doesn't care who you promote. Maybe there is someone close to you that needs work and you seem to be happy with the place. It's all good. MOFO'ing is good too. I like it! No digs/dings on new rims says competence. I'd promote good service, why not?

See, at another site, someone said my posts are worthless to read and so says he. So, like you, I MOFO'd the guy right back like you. He will not bother me is make more comment. I got plenty for the guy. You figure you make comments, expect a comment back. But, better you bite back as they now had their say, you had yours. It's how these forums work you play with adults.

And there is a contract with parents that there will be no bulling, yelling, derogatory remarks about how one of your kids rides like be soccer mom nice... Sign here. No shit!

Yes, to everyone you are all correct. I should not have been so rude. I have been a member of a number of forums, from Bikeland, ZX1400 something or another and several BMW 760li forums. However, there is always someone who becomes very offensive as if their time and more posts make them so superior. It just...kind of rubs me the wrong way. In fact my last post on any board was when my ZX-1400 was stolen from my driveway about a year and a half ago. I posted it on Bikeland. But, being that I am in Law Enforcement and my bike has LoJack on it...I..., I mean WE were able to get it back in 45 minutes are less. It was really funny, when they saw me at point and enter the back house with my SIG in their face. I will post that story at the end of this story, as a retread.

I normally do not like to post on boards, but I just had to show the guys in my area, where they had an option to go and buy gear and service their bikes, as the two major shops and other medium shops are not really user friendly any more. I mean, I remember when Chaparral was across the freeway and was a mom and pop store 13 years or so ago. Now, it and Berts Mega Mall and Mountain Motor Sports and a number of other places are geared for the pink T-shirt girl’s and the Hoodie wearing boys and the mother and father dirt bike teams. Just crazy. So, I just had to give props to GizmotoHPM.

As for the wheel. Gizmo was working on putting the bearing in the wheel on the rubber mat, by the wheel machine. But, his back was sore. So, he moved to a chair to drimmel out the chrome in that wheel bearing area...so it could fit. FUNNY.
So, the wheel would not be scratched.

I was very impressed with his work as everything is quick and fast and you can stand and watch him work right there in the shop. The best part is that you will not need a ride home and have to pick the bike up the next day, as he gets the job done and you will have time to ride if you take it early morning. Another thing about GIZMO is that he rides as well. He is a Ruff Ryder and can do tricks and stuff on his Stunt bikes. Sometimes the stunt crew is there at the shop, getting their bikes worked on and they will test them in the side lot. THEY ARE CALLED STUNT FARM So, you can step out of the shop and see them practice on their bikes. That’s pretty cool. Then they ask me will I write them a ticket. My response. Let me try that...in my DREAMS. LOL!

Other than that....I was able to get all my MOD INFORMATION from guys post and their advertisements in their signature lines. I had no clue about DRVIVEN grips or Sockets or DRIVEN CHAINS or where to get Chrome wheels. Until I browsed the boards and copied and pasted the information from guys signature lines. Including the RAM mounts and I chose a NUVI 1390T GPS for my NECK mount GPS SYSTEM. So, actually everyone promotes something on their board post.

HERE IS THE RETREAD STORY FROM BIKELAND BACK IN 2009:

Here is the scoop. Never steal a bike from a person that you have no idea as to what they do for a living. Meaning...I buy my toys to put people in a trick bag. Why...well my stuff is nice and when you have nice shit....MOFO'S will want to take your fun toys for...FREE. Well, they think they can. THAT IS WHY YOU PUT LOJACK on your bike...with early warning. NO MATTER WHAT.

HERE ARE THE PLAYERS. DUMB ASS NUMBER ONE: Lives down the street and around the corner. Walks by my house or drives by and sees my SHIT, in my driveway. Recruits other friends and after a few days...decides to come by my house and lift my bike with friends into a pick up at 0250 in the morning. I walk out to go to work at 0258 just missed them...would have loved to use my service revolver that morning.

I turn around and walk back in the house, start brewing me a cup of coffee and call dispatch and tells the senior dispatcher. Hey, activate my LOJACK, my ZX1400 has been stolen and please dispatch deputy SO AND SO to my house.

Twenty five minutes later... THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.

DUMB ASS ONE:
DOB: 11/11/1989 Age: 19 Height: 5'06"
Weight: 160 lbs Eyes: BROWN Hair: BLACK

DUMB ASS THREE, FOUR AND FIVE HAVE BEEN PICKED UP AS WELL!

The ZX1400 had no damage, full of perfect finger prints and was back in my driveway by 0330. Before that, I was standing down at the location of the bike due to LOJACK and was able to see these BUTT HEADS being put in the back of the radio car....looking at me and thinking...who in the F---is this GUY!

Well, now they know who in the hell I am.

Min. 18 months to Five years for the Felonies. I will not let the PD talk them into a deal, less than 3 years.

Getting my bike back was pretty fun! I told the guys, for Auto Theft Division that they could use my bike as the bait bike.

I park my bike on its special cement slab out front and hope someone takes it! LOL! I mean, living in this world and doing right is all about your ethics and being honest. I have parked three bikes on that slab for the ten years I lived in this house, a TL-1000, a BUSA and now my 14! It is my domain and I will not be be removed from using my stuff!

LOL! PLUS I have LoJack.

Just call my bike the BAIT BIKE! LoJack works! It has early warning on my LoJack. But, my cell phone was off and so it did not work the few minutes they got the bike in the pick up truck. But, hey 45 minutes later, with the help of a portable LoJack in the auto theft undercover car. Put the bike back on its cement slab in less than an hour.

I have considered doing a Scorpion Alarm as well! But...can not decide. The Scorpion would, maybe keep the guys from actually messing with the bike...with its sounding alarm system. But, somehow...scaring them off...is just not the same as taking them to jail.

They actually had my bike covered up by a blue tarp in their back yard and they were actually sleeping in their beds when I kicked the door in and took tactical on them. Both boys and their girlfriends....were really shocked.

They were covering their heads in the police car. As I stood there and they fingerprinted my bike...which was just waxed and washed the night before by my wash guys. We were able to get perfect prints all on the pipes and the lower cowlings. Where I would never touch. One guy kept peaking at me from under his hoodie from the radio car. He was like...thinking. Who is that Freaking GUY! Damn....picked the wrong bike to steal.

As of this day...those two guys are still twisted up for taking my bike, due to their probation. I check on them on the San Bernardino court web site. GO their and search their names and see their testimony and each of their victim of restitution fines. Each have to pay me $3,700.00! You can also see that each served over 300 days in jail and have violated their probation several times. They are really screwed. Unless they become alter boys. NOT! Get their names and search them on the San Bernardino Superior Court site. COPY AND PASTE FROM TOP POST.

So, as far as out of site out of mind for my bike. NAH! Hell...I say take it! But, you had better be a pro and know where that LoJack is...as even I do not know.

LoJack will come free of charge to redo the system after it is stolen. They came to my house three days after recovery and they tech would not allow me to see where the unit is on the bike. Then he was like..OK I will show you..and I said. No and went in the house. I did not want to know...so I would not be like at the shop and go...here is my LOJACK system. See it....!

About the seat...where is HTMOTO? Did they just recover it or did you change the foam at all? How much $? Thanks.

The seat is a cover by HTMOTO. They do shave and make personalized seats as well. They are located in Anaheim California. I ordered through GIZMOTOHPM in Highland. They get a discount from them, as they also design the seats for the shop I get service at, stunt team. I paid $85 for the cover and picked the color scheme. They have many schemes to pick from. All you have to do is go to their web site located here HTMOTO They then create your seat cover and ship it to you, within 3 to 7 days. Once it arrived the owner of GizmotoHPM shaped it around the seat on the ZX-1400.

They will change the foam and or create you a seat...but, you have to send them your seat in order for that to be done.

Also thanks to everyone that has sent me a welcome.

This MOFO is doing great! That is why the cover is on! It looked like a boat...before...when it was a standard OEM seat...and it still looks like one now...without the cover...!

The cover has always been on...I have never had a passenger on my bike in three years. Unlike my BUSA...had a number of passengers.

I need a small trunk...like my BUSA had. This bike does not have any room. Gizmo and I was looking at maybe cutting out the plastic under the seat rear cowling...to maybe make a small area to smash a jacket, beanie and small stuff...you know.
