"NCM MSP track rental rally possibilities and brief update:
Hello all. I have been pursuing information on renting the Nat. Corvette Museum Motor Sport Park for a 14 Nation and AMA sanctioned event, as you know, if you have been reading this thread.
Here is snapshot of the most requested configurations for rental:
The track can be divided into two sections as seen in my letter above for individual or possibly dual rentals. I have also received info on reduced prices for rental during the week; as in we have a rally in the beautiful Smokies and include a day (or two) at the MSP during the rally week.
On this website we have representation of many talented peoples with the expertise to contribute to a strong club and specifically to scheduling, organizing, and providing classroom help/ instruction for this track rental/ rally.
All that is required is a willingness to join and participate in your own interest and the interest of others. We can aid, educate, coach, and support each other in pursuit of riding excellence and simple enjoyment of the marque without
sacrificing identity or individuality.
Making a strong club membership and making an national event like this happen is not easy, especially when dealing with the sometimes fiercely independent riders that are attracted to a specialty niche of motorcycling represented by the unique ZX14. It can be well worth the effort though because without a chartered club and AMA sanction it is unlikely to ever happen that such an event could be arranged. Here is a chance to not just participate in just a track day on someone else's terms but to run our own track schedule within the protection and sanction of the AMA and under the auspices of an established national organization, the NCM.
If you are interested in participating and contributing enthusiastically to the formation of 14 Nation and ongoing events like national rides/rallys and this opportunity to effect a club managed track experience for beginners as well as more expert riders; let it be known sooner rather than later!
You can contact the 14 Nation leadership at the threads labelled with the name on the General ZX14R sub forum. Again, I say; " Lets Ride!" "
This "pipe dream" does not have to be unrealized; this is affordable and do-able with 30 or more participants and a core of club members with the initiative, enthusiasm, and moxie to get it done.
Cheers,
PaulAB
