Who's got the killer deals right now on the BT-016 in a 190/50 ZR17 size and a 120/70 ZR17 for the front? $158 is about the best I've seen for a rear tire.

Ouch..down in the lower 48 we pay more like $220 - $230 for a front and rear set when they run a special.

Great price but ask how much the same tires will cost if you buy them from the shop and also ask what the extra fee they charge if you do not buy tires from them. I got a great deal on a set of BT016s last sumer but had to pay extra because I bought the tires from a 3rd party. The shop can get better than list price too. I only ended up saving about $10-20 which isn't really worth the hassle of having tires shipped to my home and dragging them in to the shop with the wheels.

I went to that cyclesector site and with shipping it came to $323 US to Alberta, so by the time I add in another 5% gst, the tires from bluestreak racing are about the same at $351 canadian to my door. The dealers list the rear only at $320.

$256 from Cyclesector to my door by UPS ground. My shop is selling a the same set of BT0 for about $264 tax included. They do not charge an extra fee for bringing in 3rd party tires but for only $8, I won't bother with it.

Ok, I'll say what many are thinking. BT-16 tires BITE. Lucky to get 1000 miles out of them. Most of the Busa and ZX14 guys around here run the Shinko Tires due to cost or the dual compound tires from Perelli, Dunlop, or Michelin for longevity.

I just can't believe what a wuss I must be. There is no way I could get only 1000 miles on a BT016. There's no way I could get only 2000 miles. In fact, the last BT016 looked good after 2000 when it suffered a puncture. The one before it got 6000 miles and the present one has over 6000 miles and still not to the ware marker on the center.
Haven't done any burnouts but I'm on the gas hard every single ride. I do some WOT all the way from 10 mph to to the top of second gear. Once in a while I'll do a first gear wheelie. I ride normally of course but there is plenty of sport riding I do. I don't think I could ware a tire out in 2000 miles if I tried! You guys that ware tires out so fast, are they to the ware bar or just starting to square off??

I'm getting over 2000 miles on a rear BT-016 on all my bikes and they stick like tarpaper in the corners. The OEM BT-016 on my ZX-10R has 1700 mile and still looks fresh, maybe I'm just not riding hard enough.

or find someone that has a tire changer or buy one yourself, and save $100+!!
If I take 'em the wheel and tire, Bates Discount Cycles here in Dallas will mount and computer spin balance for $23 including tax and small fee for disposing of the old tire. If I buy the tire from them they'll knock off about $8 but it's not worth it as I can get 'em online for about $40 -$50 cheaper with no tax and free shipping.

getting down in the twisties will eat an 016 in 1000 or less, I did it several times last year. they do stick good though! I was going through 2 fronts for every rear(1k front, 2-2.5k rear)

I seem to be getting roughly the same wear out of front and rear about 2000 miles each.

It is amazing how good you think you might be. Then you see you are really not all that good when there are guys much faster than you and they are still slow compared to pros. Mind boggling, really. I would love to ware a set of tires evenly front and back.

ok canadains if your looking for tires the best place in Canada from what I have found is Pete's Superbike they are located in Quebec and have the best prices around. I got a front and rear michelin pilot 2's delivered to my door for $265 Canadian and it got there in less than a day you can`t beat his service top notch from what I have experienced. Just do a search on the internet for the above mentioned name and create a login.

cycle gear has done a special on the bt016s 2 times in the past year. $210 for 190/50 and 120/70. That's the best I've seen. Plus they will mount them if you bring in your wheels. I don't know if you have cycle gear stores where you live though...
