I was just contemplating the ramifications of bringing expensive toys to work. Most of us already have a car. What does the boss think when we ride up on our motorcycle(s)?? Anyone wonder if the boss might think s/he might be paying you too well?

Check this out my boss sold his 2006 hayabusa after he could catch me one day we left for lunch. Then a few days later he left work as I was coming down to my bike he left about 2min before me and then I walked him down. 3 days later he now has a 2008 ZX14.

My boss thinks I am crazy and irresponsible to ride such a death trap but fine with trusting me to manage millions of dollars.

My boss has a Honda Shadow 650 that hardly ever sees action. He thinks I'm just going to kill myself on my bike and shakes his head any time I talk about so...I just don't.

I couldn't hve explained my perception of Harleys much better myself. I guess it's like buying an $80-dollar shirt when another brand works every bit as good and costs $20.
At the risk of jackin this thread and turning into another Harley bashfest I'm going to weigh in on this. I've done my fair share of Harley bashin on this and other forums but lately I've had a hankerin for one. Not a $36K CVO but just a basic Heritage Softail in black. They look classic and timeless and that lump of an engine is the best lookin mill around IMHO. I ran into a gentleman the other day that was selling an '06 in black for $10,000 with only 3200 miles. I was tempted, that's not a bad price and would hold it's value over the long haul. I know it's heresy but even Kruz can change his minds sometimes.
Cheers!
