I got my pics back!
04/03/26 10:54 AM

...at least for now. I haven't been able to post pics for at least two years and I think it's actually more like four. What the deal is is that the pics start populating in my briefcase and this slows to the point that it just freezes and I get an error message. I've had this problem in the past which is why I have a second account dedicated to new pics. The newer account has very few pics so what's there populates very quickly. ...well, all pics are back now. I haven't a clue why this happens but I'm glad it's gone now. Perfect timing!

Here's an oldie but a goodie!

Thank you Bobby. She was sweet as hell!

Hi Blue! That was a Sargent TechStyle seat. Extremely cool looking but heavier than stock and kind of a gap at the back where it adjoins the rear triangle piece plus the pillion seat seat is a little fat, it pushes up the seat cowl if you use that. That will settle in after you have it on the bike a while but it's not going back to OEM clearance. Other than those, much better and more comfortable riding position. Personally, I'd try a carved down OEM seat but if you're in a hurry, this one does work and it does look very cool.

That is one stunning bike!
And the seat does look awesome.

Thank you Strat. I miss my old baby. The 14R has new mysteries to unravel but the old 14 fit me. I really, really did love that bike at the time it was at and the time i was at. There's no way I'm not having that bike back. It meant too much to me.

I've not ridden a 14, so can't compare, but looks like a keeper.

I haven't ridden a 14R much but I rode that Gen1 for over 50 thousand miles. ...not a lot of difference at low rpm but when I open up my 2024, it goes apeshit crazy at 6000. I actually hear the stock exhaust that was drowned out by the wind noise a couple seconds before that. The flash might smooth that out but I think it's kind of cool. My Gen2 accelerates like my Gen1 did but hold on when it gets to 6000 rpm. I've been talking to Yellawolf 504 who has the same bike and he concurs. So does my work buddy who owns a 2024. Strong bike but it's a wing-ding when it hits 6000 rpm. My Gen1 had two spots in the powerband where it had a little zing and one was quite low which I found undesirable. It smoothed out with tuning. Nice to feel that perfection but in some ways, it's really cool to feel the rawness of a factory tune. It's actually less safe so I don't know why they do it but it feels good, it's an eye opener.

...but yes, it's a keeper. Less power but it's a keeper for all the memories I have riding that bike. It will be back, mark my words.
