Finally got my 14
02/04/12 7:21 PM

Hey guys its me again. after a long frustrating search i finally got my dream bike. i was a little sketchy about getting it at first because it was an 06 and had 12,xxx miles one it. But a lot of guys say thats not an issue. It was well maintained. It came with a full Tsukigi Exhaust and a power commander. Its been a while since i rode my busa before i sold it. So when i first rode the 14 (1/4 mile) i stopped and turned off the bike and SHOCKED! The power this thing has will make you respect it. It feels more powerful than my busa was by far. When i rode it around the block it turned a lot of heads but i still have to knock some rust since its been a while since i rode. i will post better pics later.

this was as soon as i got her home...awesome color even at night

this was the next morning

Grats. Am sure you'll have lots of fun. Only drawback to a '14? Controlling the throttle hand. LOL

Looks great. Is 12,000 miles on a 6 yr old motorcycle a worry?

Congrats on the bike, yeah be careful with that throttle hand. I just back in the saddle of a 14 after having a Busa and yeah that 14 has serious power.

No matter how I struggle and strive, I'll never make it out of this world alive.

Good price. I'da sold my 08 for that with same miles on it back a couple years. All depends on how bad you want and how bad they need to sell. You find youre bike and the deal is on. I think it was fair to both you and the seller.

I've got a little over 31,000 miles on mine with several track days and have had 0 issues!

I have ~28K on my 08 now. All is good. Just need to change the head gasket.

I wouldn't worry about changing brands of oil one bit. I believe it is good practice to use only conventional until you know the the engine is well broken in. I would consider sticking with conventional oil and change it more often rather than switching to synthetic. There is a small contingent of us owners who believe synthetic will allow your engine to leak earlier in its life than conventional oil. Conventional oil is as smooth as synthetic for about a thousand miles. If the previous owner already switched to synthetic, I'd say keep going with it. Rotella is an inexpensive synthetic. Blue bottle.

+1 on the Rotella and it will save you like $40+ on every oil change but i change my oil filter with every oil change but thats just me.
