I have always tried to resist the temptation of telling myself, "it will happen to you too. You're not special, it happens to everyone sooner or later". But after 36 years not yet, I was feeling good about my chances.
Well it happened to me too! I dropped it. (same as it fell). While opening my driveway gate, I heard a thud.
There was no doubt about what I was gonna see when I spun around to look. !HOLY CHICHENITZA!! I rushed to the bike screaming every profane, vile, horrible word I knew at the top of my lungs. I quickly noticed 2 things:
1. I don't know nearly as many profane, vile, horrible words as I used to.
2. Either I have gotten a lot older and weaker or bikes have gotten a lot heavier. ( I suspect both). I could barely pick it up. I sorta wondered how something that now seemed to weigh as much as a truck could go so fast. :"Never mind" I thought, it just does.

I aint saying nuttin about the cause/ blame cuz I would never admit to the only possible answer. (dont matta, what happened, "my bike, my fault").
But I will say this: Death to all vermin and rodents. ESPECIALLY GOPHERS!

Which leads me to the question: looks like I'm gomma need some fairing plastic. ,What's it gonna cost me for being stupid?
The left fairing (not sure of proper fairing terminology) is busted. Between left mirror and windshield. Gotta be replaced. The lower one, (above shift lever) is scratched. Might get new one, or might learn to live with an ugly "all scratched up" bike.

What can I expect to pay for dealer replacement parts? Will it be prepainted with original stock color?
Are there other resources are available for these parts?
Opinions on who/what I should call, or not call?
Is originals from dealer the best/worst/EZest/safest/only way to go?
Where can I get perfect fairings from a trusted reliable source that will quickly ship to me at a very low cost?
Yea right, as long as I'm dreaming might as well ask for free, huh?

You mean some SOB knocked your bike over while it was parked??? Then it will only cost you your deductible for a vandalism claim.

If paying for the parts yourself then I would definitely check out Honda East Toledo.

It will be prepainted.Save your inner rubber pads though...peel off carefully.The new ones don't come with those...unless you order one that already has those installed..I think that IS an option when ordering from the parts list.

BTW...SORRY about yer ride.That IS a bummer.

I guess you COULD order an aftermarket setup...without paint.Could be cheaper.But then you'd have to paint the thing...which could be ending up virtually the same price as a factory painted piece.Plus matching the paint.That could end up NOT happening correctly.

EVERYTHING GRN SAID. It will cost you about $800 for upper, side and lower I would imagine as long as the lever and mirror are ok. Sorry about the driveway tip over. happened to me three times now. Fix it and forget about it.

If you have an off season, I say look for excellent condition replacements on Ebay. Who cares if it takes a couple months? Then if you have to buy new parts to finish it off for next season, buy what you need.

Keep in mind new parts, as others are saying are painted but they don't have anything else with them not even stickers (as Grn said.. maybe there are optional part numbers?)

I say ride it the rest of this season as is then fix her up over winter.

I just noticed some good used fairing parts on ebay. Depending on color/generation of your 14 of course. The lower fairing wont be too expensive, even factory. I had to replace mine due to a drive way drop and it was very affordable. I think I got it from bikebandit.com
Sorry this happened but I am glad you didn't get hurt lifting the beast.

I dont know what year you have but there is a member on this board that has a complete 2010 oem body for sale at a very good price in the for sale section.

I have a brand new in-the-box center cowl for an '06 in Passion Red. My insurance company bought me a new one in a similiar tipover incident and I never bothered to change the old one out since the scratch is almost invisible.

Let us know what year and what color you need.
