Michelins in the rain
06/02/13 8:21 PM

man I got caught in a down pour today coming home, soaked to the bone, but I gotta say those Michelin tires I got held my big boy on the road and no abs, Im liked em at first but those tires really showed how they handle the rain not even a wiggle going through the puddles!!

Bobby, my Michelin Pilot threes will go on order this week!!!
Can't wait to see what all the rage is about. Great in rain, is good news. How are they on straight, hard burns. Off the line, when you light those afterburners - do they transfer that horse power to the road. I'd hate to sacrifice straight line hooliganism to a good rain tire.
Mad love Bobby, hope to have Pay Pal up tomorrow...

Man your gonna love those mics, they heat up and don't break easy, but when they do its the prettiest black line in the road with the prettiest white smoke. They are dead on stable at high speeds and cornering. havent put anything else on my bike in years.

I just had a set of the POWER PILOT 3's put on. Talk about sticky. They replaced the OEM tires. What a difference. When my wife touched the new tires she asked it they were sprayed with something to make then so tacky.
Now she wants a set for her ZX-6R..... ChaChing $ ChaChing$ goes the cash register.

Yeah I was going to get shinkos but after hearing about these I'm going to get a pair for my next tires...........if my stocks ever go. I have 5200 miles and they still look pretty good.

NEVER EVER PUT SHINKOS ON YOUR BIKE UNLESS YOU DONT CARE ABOUT IT!!!

Shinkos are by no means a great tire, but depending on what the rider is using them for they can be the best tire for that said rider.

HHHMMM I guess, to each his own but just haven't heard anything good about them and the bikes I have been on with them have handled and rode subpar, even some owners wishing they hadn't got them, but like I say to each his own and even what you can afford

Ahhhhhh drag racing they are some of the best tires??????? My bike is stretched and slammed. And if I can afford a 15000 dollar bike well???????? I don't want to get into salaries I might just piss people off!!!!! But all kidding aside Bobby I'm doing just fine. And for your info most dragers use them. Hence best for SOME riders.

Gents...confession...I bought Micherlin ROAD PILOT 3's, I am remiss to admit this fact as I usually prefer something more sticky, but I am touring with the nation to Deal's Gap and I wanted to be prepared for the wet twisties ...
Peace gents

Pirellis are fine tires IMO.Had Angels on there a few times...(not on this current zx)...they gripped very well...mileage?Well....I expected more...but...sa'll okay. This tire on here now..the Dunlop Sportmax Streetsmart one...it's not doing as well as I expected.Hard to keep tires on these for any real length of time.Just too much torque and all.My last 14R...had this tire on her...was able to get some 'decent' mileage outta that one...lots of mellow cruisin between curves...this one...I haven't ridden the same as the other.

zx14racer, yeah I know they race with them alot because they are flat across the profile and they hook okay, im just better with the pilot power ones at the track, but to each his own, love they way it looks lowered. Wolfman when you guys go to the gap let me know I'm ready to go back be glad to meet you guys on the highway plus I lived in N,C. for awhile and the back way in is alot more fun!!

Bobby, were taking I75 all the way down. That's a bit away from you. If you want to join us we'd love to meet another 14 rider. But coming from chester, it would make more sense to meet us down there.

If you're up for it let me or wolf know and we'll work out the details.

Cheers!
