Two Brothers exhaust questions
11/29/15 1:48 PM

Hello all. I'm new to this forum. I have a 2015 and I'm trying to find detailed info as to why or why not this exhaust will fit my bike. Still learning what will fit between Gen and Gen2. The exhaust is local to me and I looked at it.
The exhaust is a Two BrothersM-2 V.A.L.E. Dual Carbon Fiber Slip-on part #005-2180407DV listed for an 08-11. I've heard it bolts right on, and I've heard it wont. It's in mint shape and I can get a good deal on it so I would like to know 100% why it will or won't work. Thanks!

You need one for a 2012 on, the Gen 1 is a different diameter/setup

Thanks cruderudy...you're the first person to point out the diameter issue. I was so disappointed. I went and looked at it and the routing and bends looked ok but the y pipe was an issue. It's being sold from a dealer by me. So ONLY 2012 and up will fit?
Is there some sort of master list of what's interchangeable between Gen1 and Gen2?

Sorry you struck out on the exhaust. Keep an eye in the classified section, they'll be in there this winter. People tend to take them off and install full systems.
Also welcome to the forum, lots of info here for sure.

If not having the best possible performance for your hard earned money is going to keep you up at night, just buy an Akrapovich full system or Brocks full system for the Gen2. Spend big once and never worry about upgrading.

Is not the exact same set for sale in the For Sale/Trade forum for the 2012 and up?

Two Bro's Exhaust

Why not make that guy an offer, problem solved.

Also for price comparison you can get those brand new delivered for $651.00

and in the future at any time you could add the Akrapovic headers for around 650.00? walla full system.

or of coarse do both now.

Rook.. honestly im not looking for a full system, money wise and im not looking fot the HP...just a little sound and mostly looks. Most of my mods are going to be aesthetic or for more comfort. Bike has plenty of power for me already haha.

Piken...I guess it's very similar except the slip on diameter is smaller for the one I was looking at. Other than that it's the same carbon set up. I was gonna offer $325 for the one I was looking at, had no damage. It was around what I want to spend right now with the holidays coming and all

Replied to your PM suzy1052. Sorry been super busy.

Has anyone fitted a GEN1 Two Brothers onto a Gen2? I seriously am getting answers of yes it bolts right on, and it doesn't fit at all. If I can get them to fit for the price I am going to get them.

I also read somewhere that they brought the mid pipes to a shop and had the end widened by some hydraulic machine so it fit. Im still so confused haha

06-11 will not fit without serious modding due to angle of midpipes and diameter of midpipe opening. 06-07 will fit 08-11 if you open up the front of the midpipes a couple of mm. I have all 3 for sale.
