Okay...
Appearance:
V35 Bags - Initial impression is that the Givi V35 bags are huge. They hold a lot of shit, and it looks like they hold a lot of shit. At roughly 12" out from each side of the tail, the total width is approximately 42". If you want thin, svelte bags you might try the Corbin Beetle Bags. That being said, they look great in my opinion. They flow well with the lines of the bike, especially given the fact that they aren't designed specifically for the ZX14R. With color matching I fully expect them to look fantastic.
Coocase - It's a topcase. They're all ugly in my opinion, and this one is no better. At least it's black.
Function:
V35 Bags - These work well, with an intuitive locking system, sturdy components and a solid rubber gasket to keep the water out. The elastic straps inside are key to opening and closing the bags while vertical, as they would otherwise dump your gear out all over the ground. Key to loading them fully is to remove them and lay them on their back. The mounting mechanism and locks are very stout and confidence inspiring.
Coocase - Works great, with a pre-plumbed option for lighting. The lock/release mechanisms are a bit clunky, but that may be from age. They work well otherwise and it closes tightly. It will hold one size M helmet plus other random soft goods.
Performance:
All the luggage (with the SW Motech racks) mounts very solidly, with only minor shifting up and down when you grab and try to move them. Fore/aft movent is nil. I haven't topped out yet, but the setup has seen the far side of 150mph with no ill effect. Wheelies are easier with the weight over the rear and the added aerodynamic drag.
Riding aggressively with the bags loaded gives a slight sense of "steering from the rear", as the bike wants to pivot a bit around the rearward weight change. Nothing too bothersome, just takes a bit more smoothness so you don't upset the chassis with snappy directional changes. Keep it smooth and you'll never know all the gear is back there.
EDIT: The bags touch down before the lower fairings or footpegs (no feelers).
