Tire patch kit. A CO2 variety.
I'm thinking of installing Ride On into my tires since I dont do much over 150 on any regular basis. I'll still carry the tire patch kit tho.
Fuses. These are the only things I've ever needed on a road side repair (not on this cycle, a different one was repaired roadside). So, make sure you have tools so you can get to the fuses... Oh yeah, all you need is a key.
Cell Phone. For everything else. Make sure it's fully charged when going for any long distance rides.
I dont know how much you wrench, but I do a small amount, mostly regular maintenance stuff. The guys who do large mods to their bikes should carry more tools, because they're much more likely to break down and likely will feel bad about calling for help (or they're broke because they've spent all their cash on the mods...). That's my opinion, based on my experience. My factory stock cycles dont break much, and they break less because I'm in there looking for stuff that looks like its getting ready to let go.
So, if you have not torn into it yet, now's a good time to bring out the fine tooth comb, dig into the maintenance section of this forum, read up 'n get 'r done.
Then, dont worry about the on-cycle tool kit too much. Honestly, I think back over the years and I've been very fortunate with my cycles, not needing much for a roadside tool kit. But, on the flip-side, I'm eyeballing my cycle with standard pre-flight checks before every ride.
