More stuff

Hi everyone
I put the blue double bubble on and it looks great but I dont think its going to stay. I ordered a MRA touring screen. I love how the blue looks it just doesnt seem to divert that much wind, it is better than factory though.
I also got my corbin seat in and I absolutely love it. I think it looks great and feels even better. If you are thinking about getting one, do it! Between the corbin and the lowering pegs the bike is so comfortable. It might be illegal for this thing to be so comfortable. I rode around last night for two and a half hours and felt great. I didnt have a bit of discomfort the whole ride. I have to give corbin their flowers the whole process was great. I got updates about my seat. I ordered on a friday and it shipped the next friday. They shipped it friday or Saturday and I got it yesterday. I wish I would have paid for expedited shipping but getting it in under two weeks total is really awesome from what I hear. People have told me it takes 4-5 weeks when they got theirs years back. It is well worth the wait,it is so comfortable and i think it came out fantastic. I also was in Lowes and say these little screw covers so I put them on the air duct cover and i like them. It was cheap and quick and cleans up the dash area a bit.

Those end caps/screw covers are pretty cool. Are these the ones that you got? https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-1-8-in-x-1-8-in-Black-Plastic-End-Cap/3012658

I was wondering the same thing. I've seen those before but never thought about using them for the bike. I really like that lil appearance mod, it looks factory the way they fit down in the recesses of the covers. I would definitely do this one except one of the first mods on my bike will be a Pro-Bolt fairing screw kit. I will probably order black screws with laser etched Pro-Bolt insignia for the ram air covers so I'll want to show those off. I really think your idea is cool though. If they had those caps in other sizes, I could see giving each a shot of a color matched paint and using them all over the bodywork. It serves as a paint protecting plastic washer and it adds an aesthetic touch at the same time. Love it!

The seat looks good. If it keeps you comfy, that's the main thing but I found from past purchase of a Saddleman seat, the stock seat is much lighter. I don't go on long rides so I'd carve down a stocker to almost nothing. You take those rear subframe rails out and slim the stock seat way down, you have a true wasp tail. ...but then you have to sit on it. Sure looks cool when you look at it and definitely gonna allow the biggest guy to tuck down low but I'm sure, not a pleasure to ride for long. I wasn't real enthused about the fit at the back of my Saddleman. It left an obvious gap at the leading edge of the triangle tail piece fairing. You couldn't see it with the tail cover on. The tail cover didn't fit over the pillion seat either. It made a wide gap which did eventually settle in better. My 08 was basically black so the fairing gap wasn't real noticeable. I'm sticking with stock seat and plan to carve it down. The tail section is so spacious, I see no reason to not cut out the whole pillion seat and put something cool back there like a nitrous kit with electronics and a bottle. Cut the seat cover fairing, attach a hinge and some Dzus fasteners and you have a trunk full of cool gofast stuff. That's my plan with the seat.

The blue windscreen looks perfect too! I say keep it. What else can you get that will give better wind protection? Nothing! LOL it's a sport bike, you'll just have to tuck down if you really need better wind protection than you helmet offers. I have a blue Puige doublebubble I bought for my Gen1. Never used it. I think it will fit my Gen2. I've already considered colors for aftermarket windscreens and determined blue wasn't going to do it but looking at yours, it works perfectly. Sorry, I'm doing that too.

LOL, we will end up having the same bike even after mods.

I'm going with black on just about everything. Rearsets, levers, gas cap, bar end mirrors... The 40th anniversary edition is too bold to start introducing color accents. My approach will be to compartmentalize starting with the frame. That's going to be wrapped in CF vinyl. The fairings are bold enough. I think simplifying it is a much better approach than making it more complex.

...oh, and mine will have white wheels. or maybe carbon fiber. Rotobox makes them half CF and the other half white.

I'm going to spend so much money on this bike!

...speaking of gas caps, what is that? Is that a camera mount? I'm going to be straight up with you, it's not an appearance improvement but if it has a function, that's its reason to be.

Lol. That is for my tank bag that I was running. I think it looked ok on the bike and was nice having storage it just cramped me up a bit so I only put it on when completely necessary. I have a tail bag on order so if that works out how im hoping it will I will probably end up doing away with the tank bag. Its the same one I have on the connie so I will have a back up for it.

I have the tank bags on the Z and connie in these pics.

LOL,

LOL, we will end up having the same bike even after mods

That would be hilarious. If it looks good it looks good. The rims would be the one thing different if you were to get new ones. Lime green is my favorite color so I love the factory rims.

The seat is heavier than the stock one but I am totally ok with that. I think it looks good on there and it is so comfortable. Between the seat and the lowering pegs the bike has become very comfortable and enjoyable to ride. I have been out for a ride or trip on it for 2 hours plus and have not had any discomfort, its been awesome. Now when deciding which bike to take i just consider what kind of storage i need.

. It serves as a paint protecting plastic washer and it adds an aesthetic touch at the same time. Love it!

Its funny you say that because that is what made me get them. I actually dropped one of the black washers when doing something and I could not find it. So I went to Lowe's for replacement and some extras. While looking for the washers I came across the caps and I thought its a washer and cover in one. I got lucky with how good it turned out.
