Ill answer the best I can. The PC5 can be installed and run with no map loaded, I believe this is how they come. This is what is referred to as, a zero map. Then, depending on what changes or who's map your going to use; after it is installed, you flash it with that map (using a laptop, etc). Power Commander has a "stock bike" map available, I believe Brock does as well. And Obviously most of the big exhaust makers have a map available for their product. OR you can get the autotune add on, and have the bike make its own maps while riding. But that is a bit tricky, based on the conditions you ride in; and how and when you accept those map changes. Also, it can be a bit difficult to safely road tune a bike that can go 186mph in the top gears.
as for the tire size, a 190/55 isn't necessarily wider. And assuming all manufacturer's made that size to the same specs, they would all be the same width. The 190 part of the size designation is the width. IE a 190/55 AND a 190/50 (stock) are both the same width. The difference you asked about is the 55 part. and that means the tire sidewall is 55% of the width. So if you are keeping the 190, then it is 5% taller sidewall. Making a taller tire. SO if you want wider, get a 200. Will it fit? I dunno. I think it will, but I have read that a 200 should go on a wider (+.25?) than oem wheel to be "correct". As in, without a wider wheel, the sidewall gets pulled in a little and you don't actually get the additional 10mm of rubber "on the road".
OR if your asking two different questions. IE- will a 190/55 fit, yes it will. Some people prefer the taller 190/55. It supposedly handles better and has more grip when leaned over; due to more rubber contact with the road. I have no tried a 55 tire, but may do so after this set wears out.
and the second part is, will wider than a 190 tire have any benefit; see above where I mention a 200 tire.
Hope that makes sense.
