I use the Pit Bull Forklift stand with steering stem converter attachment. It is a bit of a job getting the pin into the steering stem. It is always a good idea to cover the top of the fender with a cloth and place your thunmb over the top of the pin. Once the pin is in place, nothing gets touched but the small plastic inner fairing above the fender rests just a few mm away from the bar. Not a scratch yet from mine. Just be very patient getting the pin in. You have to go in at an angle. Straight front to back, she no fit.

I the Heindl swingarm pivot is the safest and easiest and most versatile stand for the rear. Lighter gauge steel than Pit Bull but plenty strong.

Oil & tire threads are the best.

Forums are for asking questions. New question and old questions.
Expecting someone to search first is sometimes understandable but searching isn't mandatory. If you don't want to reply then don't.
Sometimes people just feel better if they ask a question in their own words. Kinda like sitting in a room together is how a forum should be. Just talking. You wouldn't want to be told to shut up.

ZINNG!

Oil & tire threads are the best.

Flies and TRE threads....haven't seen one of them for a while.

I usually do a quick iNet search before I post a question thread just so I can say I did search it if anyone complains. No problem asking a question that has been addressed a million times. What would we do with all of our hard won knowledge if we had no newbies asking questions?

Heck, I ask a question, forget the answer and then post the same thing all over a year later. Nobody ever notices. Just made about 50 posts on aftermarket levers on 3 forums and I already had hit that one quite thoroughly back in 08....and again in 09. I just got serious enough to buy so I had to check one last time. Gearing and chain---same story. Started a few threads on that.

BTW, that reminds me, what color of Magknight tank protector should I get gloss black, or semi gloss black?

.....and my steering damper threads? I'm revisiting that topic too. Sometimes it takes a few rocks before the soda machine tips.

That's a nice MSBlue 14 you got there, inkman. Fastest colors all mixed together.

Here is the Hiendl on my bike. Easy to lift even with stock exhaust. Light as a feather with full system.

The spikes do look like they are machined quite precisely and they will fit snuggly into any swing arm pivot holes. I saw a British swingarm pivot stand that was very similar to the Heindl. It had a long, thin rod that went through the each side of the stand and all the way through the pivot. There was a wing nut to secure the rod on one side. That is a great idea because then the stand does not have to come apart in two pieces. The rod comes off and the stand is one solid piece. Unfortunately it was not available in the US.
