I don't think it's all that ugly, really. Not the looks of a Ducati, by any stretch, but not stank ugly, imo.

Good job Willidx, this bike just might have what it takes to give the Beemer a run for it's money. Very little hype so far on the new 10R at least not the level the Beemer had but that may change over the next few months. Looks like KHI pulled out all the stops and went for broke this time, bully for them!

As far as looks, I'll withhold any judgement until I see the real article on the showroom floor. My initial impression is, it's uglier than a mud fence in a gully washer but that could change if the bike "goes like stink" as Willid so aptly puts it. I mean afterall, the Beemer is no real beauty queen either. That muffler has got to be one of the worst I've seen yet but $400 spent on a slipon endcan will sort that out nicely.... or better yet a titanium/carbon Evo full system. I've often wondered why these factory guys don't just hire Akrapovic to design their exhaust systems from the get go?

dose that frame look like it has changed I am asking as i do not own 10 but if it has this maybe the anwser they where looking for as far as flickablity goes but looking at those pic looks like they used aprillia exhuast pipe body with honda vfr back but guys we have sean kawasaki 200hp numbers befor and I just hope for their sake its at least 175 at the rear I went back and looked and yes it is a new frame and with that said with the old 10 power with the new frame design you will see them at the front I just think they don't want to say much about the redesign as it will draw away from the focus the motor any way good to sea that change now lets see if they will go racing wow and abs to boot this my be the anwser lol

Wow, xxxses, that had to be the longest runon sentence in history.... I almost ran out of breath! Speculation is rampant over on ZX-10R.net. Some are saying the bike is down on peak HP compared to the Gen III but it's much more useable power. Heck, I thought the Gen III was too soft on low and midrange already, the EVO exhaust sorted all that and made it into a fire breather. I'm going to withold further speculation. October 5 is only days away and we will have the official KHI press release with photos.

This is some doctored photo-shop version. Not a real thing. All the pictures and videos I have seen about the new ZX-10R showed reversed beam rear swingarm, similar to Yamaha R1. I am surprised that CW would actually put this pic on the front cover. I think I will cancel my subscription.

I don't think Cycle World did it Steven, it almost looks like a cut and paste job if you look closely. There are some similarities between the Cycle World and the Japanese magazine versions but enough differences to make me suspicious, check out the exhaust cans. Both have the same huge ram air duct, headlights and stalk mounted turn signals. I have to say, if that's it, it has one ugly looking front end. I think I'll keep my Gen III.

Better pic, if this is it, it's starting to grow on me, I likee in green, maybe even better in black. Not sure about that two tone paint job on the tank though. I think this is probably the real deal or close too it, it's going to have to be really good to steal back sales from BMW.

Looks better in black IMHO but unless this thing is killer I think I'll stay with my GenIII. As modified it is insane, a freekin road missile..... more HP than this I really don't need!
