Hey all,

Since i know some others here have this Fender Eliminator, im just putting
my question in here. maybe someone has a solution.

I installed the Fender just like the picture below:

As you can see, in front of the license plate, u see a small black LED box,
it has 3 led lights in them, and they shine towards the license plate.

The problem: They only shine straight and only lights the upper side of the
license plate! i tested it in the dark, everything is still readable, but still....
it doesnt light the whole plate!

Anyone had this problem before, and found a way to solve it, or can help me out on this one?

I think they never intended it to make more light. Just enough to not get a ticket for not having a light on the license plate.

Hmmm.... I wonder. Because the Red light even lights the license plate more then the LED's. lol

Well don't use green!!!!They don't like that in Montana!!!!

We need more info on how the LED box is mounted - screws? double-stick tape? double-mint gum? Just come up with a creative solution to angle the rear side of the box (furthest from the plate) with some spacer(s) or wedge to drop the rear 30 degrees, or so...

After 2nd-looking at the pic, is it just the two LEDs in the back/underside of the box that are supposed to light up the plate? If so, just move the box closer to the plate, and maybe bend the plate/platemount skyward...

I mailed around with a guy from Moto-fab, and since it doesn't
bother me too much, its all good.

At night ur able to see the license plate, so i guess that's the
most important thing.

Not into screwing around with it. lol :D

I have the same one from moto fab as shown in your pic above. My led burn't out a long time ago, but the tail light seems to do the job just fine. I was going to switch over to the led licence plate bolts but never got around to it. I guess I better get at it, I don't need the ticket. Thanks 4 the reminder.

I mounted the LED as far back as possible on the black under tray instead of in the middle between the license plate and the tail light like in the picture which is only about a inch further back but it helped some.
