Just watched first practice for the 2013 MotoGP season live from Qatar. Awesome. Rossi was on top for awhile, then Crutchlow, then ended up Lorenzo. Marquez 4th. Whoo hoo! Bring it on!

I stayed with Kimi for years in F1. Hamilton comes along, I say, bye Kimi. Kimi wins F1 Championship the next year. Since 1999 I've picked Rossi year after year. Marquez has me in this Hamilton position and I'm going to crap shoot I don't make the mistake again.
It's going to be one of the most interesting years coming up for sure. 'Crutch in the Clutch' you blue wit brit!

SPOILER ALERT!!!
1. Marquez- that lil shit can ride!
2. Pedrobot- doh! You're supposed to beat your teammate!
3. Lorenzo- Yam couldn't hang with Honda power on this track
4. Crutchlow- pretty good for a satellite bike
5.Bradl- nice bounce back
6. Rossi- said before the race that his goal was Bradl/ Cructhlow. No podium. Job not quite done. One of his front rotors broke during the race. I guess that would slow him down a tad.
On to Jerez with Spanish riders leading all 3 classes. Should be crazy.

Marquez: The talent is definitely there, his got the best bike and bigger balls than Lorenzo and Pedrosa combined and his one of the lightest jokey out there. He makes Pedrosa look big LOL. I know you guys are going to say I'm crazy but I pick him to win it all and be the youngest GP Winner ever.
Pedrosa: should have won it last year. He should have capitalized off Stoner issues, and those very issue were what made him a contender.
Lorenzo: The guy rides with no ego, and chooses points over pride. If Cal and Rossi are competitive, he's likely to win this year. He'll get the crucial 25 points and settle for 2 or 3 all year long. That's why he's not my favorite: boring.
Rossi: I expect him to be on the podium at every short and twisty tracks where the Honda cannot show off his power advantage.
Cal: I remember saying the guy was the real deal last year and "nobody listened to Turtle". We don't wear the same helmet for nothing LOL He had to buy better brakes out of his own pocket last year and refused, saying that they wouldn't make him go faster while Dovi had them for free...
As for the Americans, the future doesn't look bright! I think Spies will be back to World SBK within 3 years. Colin Edward will eventually get tired of R&Ding something that isn't going anywhere... and big ? for #69

Marc: Is a crasher. The kid has to calm down or this crash does him in. He's been lucky, and luck stands him back up. I'm for the kid but he needs to stop being constant: come last qualifying. On the closing lap 11, that's Honda's way of breaking the horse out the gate, and that countdown works for some: you take off and hide. That's 10 laps to hang it out for 'All the Marbles Marquez'
Pedrosa: Mr. Hot/Cold/Pissed Off Rider. He needs to block or win. Piss him off, he'll win. Let him run any other day, top 4. To me, he's the dark horse of the race. Never crashes. And you know that cable rip tarnished a pretty good record this year.
The Old Man: Smooth as glass. Any 14 rider can relate to this. You first take a ride on this bike, it elevates your game. The old man has the better, more powerful bike, than a production based duc. Did 2 years kill his ability? No. Getting long in the tooth and the sad fact is, some do not race like a Biaggi or Checa when getting up in that age. Rossi should retire to world superbike if he wants to keep racing. Watch tech2 to see the up and comers whip those KTM's around. I expect Pol to be a front runner next year, or give Rossi some trouble.
Jorge: Man of Steel. No mistakes. Knows how to ride on a rail. The "Ice man," the "Kimmi" of cool heads. The biggest threat. The most hungry. The man in his prime. The man with nothing to lose. Vegas must have some wild/close odds, no? I expect some last race brilliance from someone. I'll give you a couple of hints. He's on a Honda, the colors are a simple green and white, and uses two single syllable words says the logo. I expect that combo to be a Honda blocker (I'd be walking to a Honda pit if he's looking for, backdoor support/seat down the road).
It sounds like one hell of an exciting race to the flag. Don't forget that practice usually is the, 'feel of the day.' So if Mr. Pissed, or The Ice Man has a fast (first practice) it's going to set the weekend up for that rider. He'll be hard to beat.
As far as pit, that's the other half of the story. Heads of shame are on the red carpet, and I mean RED. If the kid changes nothing, scares himself to the bitter end, he wins. He's a shaker offer, so hopefully the politics roll off too. It's all sitting on that kid's lap, and the last one counts.
It's such a hard call as to speculate who might win. I hope you win a bag full, but Lorenzo looks like the guy to beat. JMO

I forgot 'the gimp' rides red. Bradl will have that walk down the pits no doubt.

Naah, easy win for Marquez, he only has to finish 4th even if Lorenzo finish 1st. Money in the piggy bank for dragking. As far as crashing, the kid is too young not to crash and on the most potent bike of the grid, he's more "Stone" R than Rossi or Lorenzo. Take all the winners, the past five years, they all had a big crash, it's the name of the game. Rossi has had low speed crash, meaning he can't take the bike to the limit. Pedrosa too. He's mister too careful, always crying: "this guy touch me". Like my man Marco Simoncelli use to say "this is not the swimming pool" lol. Marquez would have never clipped his TC cable if he kept his bike in front of him.

Maequez is just starting to find out he's mortal. After the big crash, in warm ups last week, he was only able to chase Lorenzo half the race. He then started giving up ground. I think the SHOCK effect of the crash wore off in the middle of the race and he got tired, and maybe a little cautious. I know that when I've crashed, I've felt great for a couple hours and then was suddenly aware of what happened.
Lorenzo was on rails. That was a brilliant performance. He will swap paint with the upstarts if need be but he has a smooth side and it's fast!
Rossi must have had mechanical issues with his brakes. I've never seen him hit a corner hot like that 2nd time. He was too close to the Honda going into that turn too, had to be the brakes. Rossi will always be the best.

I doubt it's the crash. I think he had some good ones in Moto2 as well. He's close to winning it all so his ego is less important. We're talking about being the youngest rider to win it all! Plus with D P out the kid his Honda savior. It would be silly for him to go for wins when all he needs is fourth. Too bad his crew doesn't know how to count or else it would be over by now. Although Lorenzo was up front, he was still the man to beat.
