Average 8.333K miles a year for you, blue. I'm not far behind @ 7,836 miles. My 2nd registration just came in the mail the other day.
My only problem with the bike is not enough time to pile up the miles like, Paint. He sells a canvas and off he goes for a month's ride.

My baby will be at least 14 by the end of the season. The problem is tires. I hate to go riding down the highway on a brand new round tire. That's twisty material for at least 1500 miles.

I wanted to ride yesterday but took the driver. It is so hot (waving here) if I suit up normal, I'd sweat out the water in my body. Do I want to take a chance with a t-shirt again? Not the way I hammer this bike on the way there and home. I may have ridden this bike once or twice without a 100 plus rip at the cable.
Glue an screw the old tires with snow studs. I'd be riding if the roads are plowed. All I would do is change boots and gloves. The rest is that much covering over me practically.

Mine just turned 18 - K miles of course. I do beat it like a red headed step child and it runs great. Or should I say I flog it like a rented mule. I like both sayings. I guess I'm in a bit of a demented mood need to go run the bike. Really don't know why everyone thinks a bike is no good if it has more than say 3K miles or so on it. I think these things can run for a long time.

Just 21k but we have a short season and it is not the only bike I ride. No issues.
Hey Ninja Master
In those almost 40k miles has the bike's perfomance or ride changed? I don't think I have ever heard of anyone who has put that many miles on their zx14.

Not much has changed.I know this winter I'll be getting the valves checked, new front brake pads, chain n sprocket set,and maybe a repaint of the extra set of body work I've collected over the past few years.

3 months old today I believe, and just shy of 3k miles. I did 450 miles on Thursday. Could have done without the last 50, but it was a great shakedown run for my upcoming Yosemite trip!

I have to tip my hat to both Blue and Master. You guys are amazing to get 25K and 41K on your bikes, while living in areas where your lucky if you see 4 good months of riding. What you gentleman have done is awesome! Testament to the bike and what a great machine it is, but also a testament to two what I see as extreme riders. Not only that but I have to say that Ninjamaster has the best looking 41K bike I have ever seen! You guys give me a lofty goal to reach for.

You guys're driving me crazy with the ability (and time) to put 25K miles on a bike..
I've had Percy (Persimmon Red of course)'08 for 6 months and have.. (wait for it) a whole, ripsnorting 800 miles on it!!!!
sigh. between traveling on the job, and crappy weekend weather and the Honey Do list, poor ol' Persie sits in the garage waiting..
sigh.
PS: the Vespa is a Wifey Want.. thought I'd throw it in for S'nGiggles.
