Hi my name is piken and I'm addicted to motorcycles.

Just picked up a solid black 2012 zx14r.

Actually found here in the forum's for sale posts.

Currently also have...
2003 zzr1200
2006 zx10

I do recognize a few forum names around here from the zzr and zx10 forums.

Have not had a chance to ride it much yet but the first couple of impressions
where...

How smooth the bike rides. (have not set up suspension yet)

How hot it runs and how easy it hits the cooling fans. (seems normal from search)

How high insurance "collision" was. Thanks to search here, found out State Farm
is the way to go. I normally use progressive but they were absolutely crazy on collision.

Lot's of good tips here.

Have a list of mods to get started on. First the exhaust has gotta go! I'm not even
going to ride the bike until I get it changed out.

Looking forward to having some fun on the 14. I pretty much keep my need
for speed on the track or the drag strip.

Here's a pick, it's from the for sale ad. Will post more when get the exhaust done.

Welcome!
You will love the bike.
For insurance, you might try these guys for a quote. My brother and I have been with them since 2004. Great rates, great service, and they write checks when need be!

Nice bike and welcome to Club 14! You certainly got an awesome collection going! Love to ride one of those old 12s, I used to dream about those, ZX-10s too. Thinking about a liter supersport for my next bike but that'll probably be a while.

I have state farm full coverage and it's a damn fine price <$500 year. Granted, insurance varies region to region but I was really surprised how reasonable insurance was for Evora. Truth is they'd never let me get by with this, but they just don't know what kind of party girl she is!

I was with MetLife before SF and was paying $640. That's with elevated coverage too. So you should be able to find something reasonable, considering I had quotes ranging from these to over $2000/yr. Just shop around call half dozen agents if you need to.
