Dyno/PCIII Question
07/10/14 9:36 PM

So, I went to one of our local dealership's Throttle Thursdays. Had a great time......Jason Britton was there and had an amazing show as always......just an all around nice dude........anyways, they do 10 dollar dyno's at this event. So, I decided to have my 2011 dyno'd. 158.85 hp (I expected around 160 or so) with run conditions 97.84 F and 17 percent humidity. From a mechanical perspective, my bike is pretty much off the crate stock other than r-77 slip-ons. I have a PCIII that is sitting in my garage that I have thought about installing. My question is......how much hp improvement can I expect with the PCIII installed. I'm sure it depends on the map that I get, but, just wanted some of your thoughts......Does anyone have a map recommendation for a PCIII for my setup? Thanks

Its pretty simple to install and you can download a map for your specific pipe from the website. This map will be pretty close to what your bike needs and will run very well but for best results you can have it tuned at a dyno shop.

Full Muzzy, flies out,K&N, black wind screen, pc3, pm wheels, blue led gauges and lights, scorpip alarm, roaring toyz kickstand and lowering links, tinted turn sigs.

Thanks Bobby......it appears that they only have a map for full Yosh exhaust in their database. They have a yosh slip on map but it is for a 2006/7 European model. I did email Yoshimura R&D to see if they had anything. If I can find someone who has the numbers, I can create my own map. However, I will probably have to have it dyno'd and a map created that way......probably would be the best way to do it anyway. I am not expecting much of a HP gain but rather a little better throttle response, especially in the low to mid range......An interesting note.....I was talking to another guy who had a 2k7 zx14 at this event and he had his dyno'd at the event last month.....he sent his ecu away to have it flashed, got it back and lost 2 horsepower in the process on the same dyno (same conditions)......needless to say he wasn't happy.......Again, thanks for your response.
