Velocity Stacks

Hi, just wondering if anyone here has installed velocity stacks and could tell me if it makes any difference to sound or performance.

Inside your airbox there is already some velocity stacks. Two different sizes to be exact. The short ones are for making more power up top, the longer one are for your midrange power. My suggestion is if you want to install some stacks save yourself some money and buy two short rubber stacks from Kawasaki and replace the two long stacks. That way you know you have a perfect fit and nobody is ever going to see the expensive stainless stacks anyway.

Maybe on the gen2. Gen 1 all same height.

The Factory Pro velocity stacks may seal better than OEM. That might make a difference if you go with turbo some day.

Far as performance increase, that is a matter of conjecture. I plan to try them some day.

When I built my turbo I put a plenum inside the airbox and went straight to the throttle bodies....no stacks.

It's a trick to install............never seen anyone else do it that way.

Love those white wheels 06blue. I had planned to go with whites on my 08 midnight sapphire blue but I'm happy with the anodized blue CZ wheels I have. I'll go with white powdercoat when they get beat up enough.

I have so much to learn.

Do you actually get the howl sound when opening the throttle? Don't think more horsepower is necessary on a ZX14 lol.

I've heard one owner claim that he got a cool airbox howl in the midrange with the midrange stacks. I'd be happy with that even if they doon't make much of a noticeable change in the powerband.
