I took a nice brisk ride today to a dealer in South NJ to straighten out a problem with my PC3 and about 2 blocks from the dealer a 2008 SE rode past me and gave me a BIG Ole Wave HELLO was it anyone from this forum???

It wasn't me (my 14 hasn't come out of Hibernation yet). But where ya from in S. Jersey ? I'm North of Hammonton , off Rt.206. Maybe we can hook up this summer for a ride ?

Hey Nightstalker I'm actually from Staten Island N.Y. but I use a dealer called Extreme Machines in Millstone NJ and thats where I saw the 08 SE rider and thought maybe it was one of the boys on the forum.

Hey Romans it was a toasty 38 degrees out and the sun was shining so thats all that mattered, but at this time of year its not the cold that worries me its all the pot-holes that are all over the place because of the snowplows and the gravel and chewed up asphalt at all the intersections.
My engine was recently rebuilt so I can't let it rip yet but I got her up to a nice 90 MPH on the NJ turnpike and kept her under 5000 RPM.

Yep, that's way North of me. Watch out for the loose sand from all the sanding for Ice. NJ believe MORE IS BETTER.

Your Not Kidding,you are 69 more miles further south, 1 hr 30 min more....from extreme machines.

I wish it was rebuilt for performance! I tossed the # 3 piston right through the case back in July and luckily I had an extended warranty and Kawi had to eat it...So I only got the bike back around christmas so I havent had time to break the new engine in yet.

Bunch of 287 route 22'youz, youz ass bury park, The Boss plays on!

Hey Hub, I know it well 287 is a regular run for me and the boys...its like 10 min from my house on staten island.

Snuffy, I'll bring you back to a newly paved 287; we were on an X-6 Hustler. I knew nothing about bikes. Had a salesman just mess with the ignition me wanting to go faster and my fat buddy and I are full bore oil like balls to the wall and I hear the engine make noise.

I pull the clutch in, stop the bike and the passenger says, "Thanks for saving me" or something to that effect. After I got the bike fixed with a holed piston, I never let anyone touch my bikes again. An that's my 287 story and am sticking to it.

gentlemen gentlemen gentlemen, are you all talking about my neck of the woods! I'm in Franklin Township and I know exactly where Extreme Machines is located.. 287 is no more than 3 minutes from my house and I can get to 22 in abobut 10 minutes...

maybe we should make a NY(well Staten Island)-NJ meet and greet?
