had my first real descent ride with the 14r yesterday since buying a few weeks ago, and of course about 20mins from home it starts dumping buckets of rain! wasnt gonna wait it out so i just kept riding in it, dropped it in low power mode and full traction just to be on the safe side and it handled great , no issues. but of course the bigger concern, its FILTHY now.. i hate rain!

Dude, you live in the Commonwealth same as me. If you're gonna ride more than 5000 miles/year then prepare to ride a perpetually filthy scooter.

I wash mine three times a year, max.

i hate washing my bikes with the hose is all, but after a rain ride you have no choice really. actually i usually do good with staying dry throughout the yr. i knew rain was coming but thought i was gonnna be able to beat it. was pushing 65deg yesterday so i had to get out and ride it. now today its like 20 deg lol!

If I can ride to work without getting wet then I ride. Riding home wet doesnt bug me at all except for the road grit.

yeah same here, i can live with the ride home wet. just not the ride in.

Here in Illinois it was near 70 and sunny yesterday with a drop to the 30s and snow today.
