Deep sound.
06/23/10 12:28 PM

Ok, I have read just about every thread here on exhausts and it just left me confused. I drive mainly in the low to mid RPM range 85% of the time so I want low end power. The threads pretty much say to go with the dual slip-ons. The next thing is the ever contriversal sound. I spoke with a guy who tunes bikes on a dyno and he says that the Carbon Fiber Exhaust have the deepest sounds.

I saw a Busa with dual Yosh. R-22 Exhaust and they were pretty quiet, but had a nice growl. I like the look of the tri-oval exhausts and am thinking Yoshimura, Akropovic, etc.

Ok guys, let me have it. What dual exhaust gives the best growl down low and not to loud at highway speed?

Hi there slidderhd hope your staying out of that oil slick, just start drilling holes in your original pipe 1 hole at a time till you get the right note.?????????
My pipes are stock so I can't give any advice, I ride with a 14 that has Acrophobic pipes too loud for me but may suit you.
Stay out of the water down there, I see Hazel green up the top end you should be safe.

"Acrophobic!!"

Good1

My vote is still for full system. CT duals if you need duals on there.

If you insist on slipons, I'd buy used ones that someone else wants to dump at a low price.

I have the Brock's full system dual CT's. The sound is amazing and you will have power when you want it.

I saw that ebay has a set of Carbon Fiber Akropovic Slip-ons for the 06-07 for about $500.00. I know they are the oval style. Does anyone know how they sound even with silencer's in?

Exhaust Note
I'm not sure if this is a full system or not, but you'd at least get an idea of the exhaust note.

Wow, I have never heard anything like that in my life. Please tell me you guys do not start your bikes and do that. Part 2,3&4. That boy is not right in the head. I have that pipe in Carbon fib on my bike and that's the first time I heard those sounds come out of it.

I don't know if you paid attention to any of the comments in the section below that video, but I laughed when I saw something along the lines of, "rev it like you stole it twat". lol. I seriously doubt that guy still has that bike or, if he does, probably needs to have the valves adjusted and perhaps a new engine might be in order instead..

Romans, did you say that you were running the slip-on Acropovic Carbon Fiber? What are your thoughts about the sound?

No, I have the Akrapovic CF full system now. I use to have the Muzzy slip-ons.

Carbon Fiber Akropovic Slip-ons for the 06-07 for about $500.00. I know they are the oval style.

Wow, Cheap. Go for it.
