sprocket cover

My sprocket cover is scratched up so I got another one but I dont know how to change it out. Can someone tell me what to do with the clutch cylinder? It looks pretty straight forward to take off ( remove the bolts and pull off) but I dont know if there is anything in particular I need to do with the cylinder.

when you pull it out use a zip tie to hold the cylinder in you dont want it to fully extend or youll lose your fluid
