Lean angle?

Anybody know what the lean angle is on a 14 (stock shocks, etc.) when the feeler under the foot peg touches the ground? Just curious... -bg

Call it the 'Costco Contact Sheet'

Bg,
We are old. I am too beat up to hold the bike and crank it over before It hits the garage floor. Maybe you are strong and fit. I rather you not blow a gut pulling it back up, rather, find a large piece of thin cardboard, preferably, what they stack between crates of canned or boxed foods. This gives you contact at both tires so you can see how your 3 contact points look if someone on the one end is at the back of the bike or the front or shoot both ends of the bike.

The person with the cardboard holds the sheet at the two tire points, lifts to the foot peg and there is your angle. The camera taker, angles horizontal to the cardboard and there is how far you can basically crank her over.

Hub: I'll do that and maybe try to get a picture. It looks like about 45 degrees.

Blue: You've probably already ground them down <grin>. Under the bottom of the footpegs... -bg

Lean angle 1: Foot peg in static spring tension mode = Check fairing distance at cardboard ~ Average tag at the extender.
Lean angle 2: Compress foot peg to max angle = Check fairing distance at cardboard ~ Ideal.

Practice, I used to burn down H-D foot pegs to the point < Literally, I had someone complain they were going to get spiked by them, on their assumption. I had to swap pegs before a race. You could stand on the peg to sit the bike back up. Once the peg locked, I would case the engine, back end would pop up and I had to slow down just to finish on that pile.
