Never installed or even thought of an alarm system... Till last year, and would like one on this ride, was thinking about the lo jack system but a bit rich for me
dont have any experience with type or brand,, so I'd like to familiarize myself with them....
What brand do you prefer? Type? Features that are a must have? Etc... Thanks in advance

My last bike(busa) got stolen and I will be replacing it with a zx14r this summer. After that experience thinking of a Scorpio sr-i900 or sr-i1000se wired to go off both with the siren and the bike's horn. Good thing about the si1000 is you can track the bike from anywhere on gps with any smartphone. It's free for the first year but about $10/month after I think. The 900 series has only 1/2 mile range on the pager. I may choose to go with the 900 mainly to stop strangers from sitting on the bike to play around or take pics which I've seen happen in the DC/MD/VA area a lot. Then for additional security add a lojack system with the cell phone alert. May be too much but will give me more peace of mind. I too would appreciate hearing other options out there.

I've thought about getting that Scorpio also...looks like a fairly decent deal with that remote alarm deal while the bike alarm is turned off.Nice...Catch those fuckhe2#'s in the act....then a nice pistol whipping before turnin em over.

If you looking for something easy to install, the Gorilla alarm is perfect. 2 wires and your pretty much done.

What features does it have, price?

Googled gorilla. Looks like there is a $100 one and a $200 one. Looks like a good option if it does the same thing the Scorpio does. There are reviews saying the range can be less depending on where you are, building etc. Wonder if the Scorpio is truly 1/2 mile range as stated. For me the alarm is mainly to alert and stop idiots from sitting on bike or vandals. I do believe if a professional thief wants your bike they will get it even if it has an alarm. That's where the lojack beats alarm systems.

Just read about it myself, sounds like the same
But since I work in the city not sure if the signal will reach the 15th floor, so
Might have to go with the one that alerts you through your cell
