There ya go!...NOW..the zx10 is ready for he American Market. SHWEET...just great!
I'm gonna have to go ride one now.WoHooo!!!Kawasaki just needed to do a tad bit more prep work to get er dialed in...no prob. They already had it figured out IMO...and knew the American Market wasn't gonna buy a "second place" finisher.Way to GO Kawasaki!
I was checkin out those pics in Cycleworld Mag.I mean...this zx10 is VERY NICE!Great styling. If it cruises anything like a 14...it's on baby! I'd LOVE to have one if she's not too small...awesome...just awesome. Can't get over how good that bodywork is.I never ride two up anyway....what's NOT to love?

Dat bike still has the "shitty" valve springs. He didn't give it back and they're sending him a new motor. The "fixed" bikes still are not being sold as far as I know. Time will tell whether they gain power, lose power, or stay the same.

I was lookin on the Kawasaki website...this 10 is only 1 inch shorter than the 14.Weight is around 70,80 lbs lighter.Something like that. There seemed to be a slightly more bit of emphasis placed in the 10 features part towards "touring" and "street".The width of the 14 is only 1" more..This is sounding quite good.If that engine runs with the reliability of (my) 14,it's gonna really be hard for me to not at least give er a shot and see how the ergos feel. She's apparently set up from the factory with some very good street ergos...and quite a bit of possible adjustments.Sounds good here.Heck with it...I'm ridin one as soon as I can!

Just came across this vid:
2011 zx10r wheelie control.
Bitchin'!
If you really want one, Blue. You have until the 31st to get one through Costco. Probably be the best price you could get on the new 10r for awhile.

dammit, you guys.
No, I'm still holdin'.
everyone is always so skeptical of the bike rags. yeah, they live to hype but as long as I've been into this, they've been very reliable. The only dog that won attention was the 09 R1 and that died down very quickly. If they start saying the fixed bikes are good, I'll bet $$ they're every bit as good as the rags say they are.
Only question remaining is what will the remaining big 4 do? Any details on the '11 yammi, Suz and Honda?

It's almost an inch and a half (1.4") shorter wheelbase, and 130lbs lighter than a 14 (14 is almost an inch shorter wheelbase than my Busa), according to the US specs.
I'm still up in the air on whether a new 14, or a liter bike. I'll have a look at one too when they re-appear. But very (VERY) doubtful I'd buy one until the '12 models come out. Give them a year to get it sorted.

possible conspiracy theory:
Garth is a Kawasaki employee -On or off the official payroll)-like those shadowy figures who lurked the ZX-14 forums with all the hidden secrets to derestrict the 14.
When was the last time you ever saw an ad for a motorcycle on TV? The target audience is small but very impressionable. What a great marketing scheme for Kawi and Leo Vince. If I were a manufacturer of any motorcycle product, I would be begging garth to take it and stick it on his bike.
$13,500 could build my 14 to be a very fast bike...but no money in the world is going to make it 170 lbs less.

My buying one is questionable anyway...I've no idea how my 6 foot frame would feel on a 10.But I have to say concerning that other vid there of the 10 wheelying...that noise TO ME didn't sound too promising as he was going by.Don't know what that was..camera audio,or the engine. The approach and departure sounded very tight.
Also don't know anything about Garth...or who he works for...I'm not sure that matters IF the bike is performing as it is presented(on their website).I believe our 14's did everything Kawasaki said they would...didn't they?I've no reason to doubt this new 10...after they made things right for us here in the states.
I'm with ya Hillbilly...certainly want to give it some time.I'm feelin a new 14 up ahead...kind of a cross between that 10 and our bikes.Something lighter, higher rpm limit. They have that 1000...but it falls somewhat short of bein a kicker overall.Lotta guys my age would love to have the weight and handling of the 10 in a slightly larger package like the 14.Kawasaki could definitely come up with one if the market was right...which I think it is.I think within 2 years...there'll be a NEW 14...lighter and stronger than what we've got now.If they could drop 100 lbs,and raise the redline...what a killer she would be.Barely bigger now than that 10...sizewise.

I was thinking the same thing but I don't think the stuttering noise would be anything to be concerned about. There isn't a lot of explanatory info with the vid but the title is "Wheelie Control." When the bike senses a wheelie, it must trip a intermitent fuel cut. That's exactly what the bike in the vid sounded like to me. The motor was cutting in and out rapidly to prevent the engine from climbing higher in rpm. The motor ran smoothly again when he shifted up because the TCS sensed that the wheelie had been eliminated by the upshift. Exact idea as we have always had with a rev limiter but this is a wheelie limiter. I would hope that is something that could be shut off if you did not want it (althouggh it certainly seems like that was plenty more wheelie than I would want to experience coming out of a corner at high rpm, wide throttle and a pretty decent speed.)
"Le control de wheelie." ?

Hmmm...ya...I think yer right about that...now I see what's being shown.Okay...Got it.Ya....I personally would want a wheely control on a bike this vicious.Man,from the Kawasaki website..that vid they have on there...this bird looks friggin wicked in performance...IMO,way past the Suzi's and Yammies.

As far as I know, the gsxr is the same as 09-10. Looks to me like they are riding on their racing history for another year. Yammi, I don't know. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before all of the others step it up. That's why it may not be the best time to buy......it never is. These bikes never stop improving.

This is the first ride report I've read on the Euro spec version 10R and it sounds like it may be down on power compared to the Beemer, especially in the midrange where the Beemer isn't particularly strong either. Anyway, until they get these two machines side by side I'm not going to trust any of these "seat of the pants" evaluations. BTW, I thought everyone had figured out that Honda's strong, torquey midrange approach was the key to fast laps and strong quarter mile times? The last report I read, the 2010 BMW was only a couple hundreths quicker in the quarter mile than the 2010 CBR 1000RR even though the Beemer was up almost 25 HP. It's gearing and where the power is and how accessible that make a bike quick, big horsepower numbers just make it faster.
Ok, anyway the one consistent thing I've read is the new 10R is a sweet handler, looks like KHI finally got it right and the TC is the best out there. This bike may turn out to be a real sleeper when all is said and done.

If I can ride one at 6'3", I'll bet just about anyone could ride one. For the first month or so, knees, wrists and especially neck were a bit sore from the tight ergos but then your body adapts and it's not a problem after that.
