Beware of fairing forgery on Ebay

As some of you may know, I rolled my busa over twice last week....I've been more or less spending every spare minute trying to figure out how to get some reliable replacement fairings. The suggestion that I check Ebay was made. Sounded good to me. I got into it and something was tingling my spidy senses the whole time.

BE AFRAID OF BUYING EXPENSIVE STUFF ON EBAY.....BE VERY AFRAID

If your bike needs new skins, I would only deal with a reputable dealer. Honda East Toledo is the place to get the best deals and they won't flim flam you.

Looked at his post there...yup...counterfeit.I only buy OEM...but here Rook....maybe contact THIS guy on Ebay...store is VelocityKing.Tim Ord.I bought a totally new OEM set for my 07 when I wrecked.Every piece.Perfect condition....boxed most excellently...this was a long while back mind you...he may not even be on there anymore...but you could check...tell him I sent ya....he probably remembers me.

hahah, yeah I am just fine now that I am over the shock. It was a bad kickstand. NOT real reliable. Looks good and strong but has a little tendency to fold back if you are not real careful. This happened twice in a few days. I think with a little grinding, it will be more up to the task.

Good thing I have no mirrors. They bolt to the main fairing stay and that would have bent. I think mine is undamaged. Still gonna be $700 to replace the side and bottom fairings. Also The top recieved a small amount of rash but I think I can touch it up.

Thanks Grn, I will look him up. Sure would be nice to find something cheaper but at this point. I need new, too. I'm almost ready to presume any used busa fairing is going to have some busted tab on it even if it wasn't dropped.

So now, I will have to ask about the cost of comprehensive iinsurance. Prolly a lot cheaper than replacing fairings...in case I do something like this again.
