I recently removed the risers from my bird...and added a set of Buell XB12 pegs.Aside from repositioning the shift lever a teensy bit,and lowering the rear brake pedal...it was a an experiment actually.Installed the stock screen back on as well.I have to say...it does feel more comfortable at speed and in the curves....more 'planted' and responsive...IDK HOW it would feel different as it does...but it does.Maybe the body position is more streamlined...I can't say.Maybe the foot position...being lower...that could be it.But I'll be staying with this for a while....the stock screen IMO actually IS more 'tuned' to the aerodynamics of the body. And I'm getting LESS windblast at speed with these changes.Just thought I'd share that...The turn in and all feels more precise, and she feels like she wants to lean in even more than before.
I wouldn't think that a 1-2 inch upward curved Windscreen edge would create a less stable performing bike...but it did.
