just wanted to come clean that's all... you guys kept wanting to know when it was going to show up... i guess at the price if never was.
now you guys know i have skills and smarts when it comes to bikes... i was pulling two stroke engines apart when i was 15 to 17years old... in those days you could bring your jug down to local hardware/machine shop and they bore and hone it... did the motorcross and ice racing thing and the rest ...
grn..didn't you read the whole thread.. that was a made up story about the bandit..had a 01
like i said had the r1/copper/gsxr1000 all under 10 grand.. i have had many bikes i listed them all ..... but like i said when i had the check i walked...why is that so hard to understand or believe..
hub when the hell are you going to get your bike it only cost 15,000 thousands dollars... lol... it's only money...have to amit hubs knows his shit about bikes
everybody has there price...and will buy what they want at the price they want to pay or spend...for ME it was not worth it ... that's all.
since i never did sign at the dotted line...interest will fade more and more every day...before i left just wanted to let you guys know why i never closed the deal... that's all !
zzzzzzzzzzzzzoooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmm later !

I looked at a lot of new models for 2012, inclusing the new duc 1199 and all the 1000 class including the BMWS1000RR (and of course the BUSA).
IMO, Dollar for dollar, even in Canada where the bikes are 1000's more, the 2012 ZX14R provided the best overall performance value out there while balancing comfort and control.
I do not regret paying $18,000 cash for my bike.

If 15k is too much you shouldn't have even considered it. Why waste EVERYONES time by even looking at it? You can make more money. You can't take away the memories of riding the worlds fastest bike. To me you can't put a price on that feeling. Whatever else you buy or "buy" will never be the same and as for the op what does origin of the manufacturer have to do with the price? If japan came out with a car equal to the Bugatti you wouldn't pay 1.5 million dollars because its japanese? Sounds like you have a problem with anything but U.S.A. for example I love harleys my first street bike was a v-rod riding a harley is an experience. That's why I have a harley eagle and logo tattooed on my arm because you will never make me forget what riding a harley and riding with other harleys is like. Of course there will be a green 14R getting added soon :) just my two cents.

I looked up kbb an that is just a base number. I am above (what I believe is their standard) as far as 'used' is concerned. That, Markeypooskis, is peepair your equipment with a pisshine to it, or you'll be spitting all over the salesman about yours and his profit margin. Piss On'em. You then sell for that extra profit, you now have to deal with the rag, the calls, the no shows, the final guy/gal that comes for it... Less out of pocket no matter how you look at it.
I'm not going to argue about your bike skills. Lets work the wallet situation. Your wants and needs. Do you really need a 14? Come on. Think about it. Guys buy on impulse. Gotta have it, then it sits. You hear all the low milers and they are still out there.
There are used with a lot of preset mileage on them. The low milers. The sitters. The beaters. The customs. The bent. The bank repo. Can we find one to fit our wallet? Look at the odds I am throwing at you. There is an old saying...
She IT, or remove the cranium that should look like one assumes is off the pour sea land ring.

Ain't that the truth????
If you have the $$$ and really know you have the itch, this is a great thing to own. The memories are priceless. Some day that is what you are left with. With mods, my old 14 has cost me just a couple K$ shy of a new stock 14r. It's the best money I have spent. The bike will not last for ever but the memories are going to be around as long as I am and probably a while longer.

trc.. to answer your question i was planning on buying the thing... but at that last minute when i just needed to ride the thing away.... i walked.
what happen is after i collected all the funds and weight my two options could not part with the cash/bike... i do have a 09 which runs fine because i work on it. lol
salesmen said i had something called....buyers remorse...doesn't that happen after you drive away not sure on that statement.
so have fun guys and good luck with it.... i hear it's fast...there always next time...riding around on the 600 also was not really sure i wanted the 600lbs but i hear it handles well for it's size.
