tips on a 07

I am looking at my first 14. Its a 07 with 8k miles on the clock. Basically every mod you can think of. Slip ons, pcV, flies removed along with a sargent seat, db screen and several other things. Ext warranty till next year sometime.
Is there anything in particular to look out for on the 07s? I plan on getting a peg lowering bracket and some genmar risers and I should be good. Maybe some soft luggage for trips. I just want to make sure I get a good, solid bike. Its down to the 14 and a fz1.

Solid bike means, "How about 4 compression numbers before I buy."

I WALK:

1. Bike has been crashed!

I WALK:

2. You do not give up the compression numbers.

I WALK

3. I stand behind a cold engine I come over to purchase said [Otto cycle] you never start it for days.

I WALK

4. I ask the owner to now start the engine, I am standing behind to watch the exhaust puff any kind of smoke...

I WALK

5. And wait, because there is a better deal coming down the road I wait, walking away from a, "Walker."

... or, 'Walk Around' ...

1. You catch every shaved down part, you know it was moving fast.
2. You look at the oil color and see how dark or clear it is.
3. You pull the chain back off the rear sprocket to see how well lubed it was? If it has any movement, then think neglect there, then maybe other areas too.
4. You should not care how hard those miles on the bike were. More like doing you a favor they blow off built up chunks of carbon in the muffler.
5. You want all stock parts because that is h/er custom deal. You might like the stock seat or say the pipes are too loud, you like quiet. What h/she did not tell you, you can recoup selling the aftermarket and break even buying something used anyway.
6. Your choice buying whatever bike, bus20. This is more in the generic, you buy a car/boat/plane old Otto cycle once around the block is all it takes.
7. Yep, you let them ride/drive the thing around the block, looking for white/blue smoke, not steam/condensation once that puppy warms up.
