Rook's comment is not only true, it does point out the "might be' factor... If you can manage your throttle control (as in stay off it until you really know what the bike will do under the various throttle twists...), the weight, smooth operation, low and mid range power curve, the overall braking and handling capabilities, you will be well rewarded. The salient point that I would bring up is that the bike is heavy, with all that entails. That weight, all other factors being equal, is the product of a sophisticated, if not clever, design that gives the rider a forgiving stability. That stability, and once you become familiar with the 14R, makes the 14R "predictable". Experience will define the limits for you, but knowing that you have reliability, power and predictability will make the ride easier in the long run.
