I picked up a piece of steel this past weekend in my rear Metzeler M7, kinda pissed had at least another 1000 miles left on it but I was happy that I was able to make it home. 20 minutes after getting home the tire was flat. Still had Sunday to ride so I fished my original back wheel/tire out of the basement and threw it on. I still think black looks really good. Im just under 20K and the bike has been great so far knock on wood.

Glad ya got a spare buT don't second guess your color choice. Black is nice but those goldies are way nicer on your bike. Actually, I like black wheels a lot if the body is part black and part some other color. You have a good thing going with the black and gold, IMO.

Yup...she's lookin killer!You've been taking good care of that paint...looks really sharp(no pun intended)...flats suck big time.I carry one of those Co2 flat repair kits on mine(fits up under the seat there)...just in case.Ya never know.Glad ya made it home....

A gold wheel is faster than a black one, that will upset the handling of the bike ;-)

Bike looks phenomenal... quality components and obviously well looked after and maintained.
I like the gold too.

Thanks guys. It looks good from far but there is definitely some scratches on the tank and lower fairing as well as where the seat cowl rubs.

I was thinking about trying this, I have a set of SE rims and set of black rims. But I had a hard time visualizing it. This helps a lot. Actually the gold front with the windscreen and black rear is a pretty slick combo.
