MIROCK Bike Fest
July 21-22, 2012
Maryland International Raceway
Have any of you attended Maryland International Raceway events in the past? I've never been to MIROCK, anyone have any suggestions, tips on hotels, or things I should be aware of at this event? ?

Yes go to Laplata Md before the track.Motels food.People who own the tack are great.I been to one MIROCK event.Next year went to a IHRA fuel event that was sponsered by Outback.20 bucks and they cooked a steak and potatoe.The event was great.Funny cars,Dragsters jet trucks and this wheelstanding schoolbus.They had us walk on the track.That was crazy the traction,like vwalking on glue.Me and my girlfriend drove twice from Pittsburgh an I think were going there again for vacation.If you take your bike cops nail sportbikes like crazy

Craig, this weekend I'll be checking out the hotels in that area. I plan to ride my bike down there, it is only about four hours away from Philly. The worst cops I've encountered so far are Jersey cops.
I am hoping to record a few events, take tons of pictures and enjoy the weekend! It should be fun, thank you for your feedback!

Thanks, K. The bike fest sounds like fun, too. Gotta get some twisty ya-yas out before Indy, which is a dead boring Interslab ride and then city streets.

I'll be there. We have 3-day tickets at The Brickyard, parking passes and tickets to The Mile on Saturday night. Also looking forward to Motorcycles on Meridian.

Nicky, great images! Thanks! Really sad what happened to Marco. The last picture looks like this one I saw on Facebook about a guy who lost his bike in the Colorado fires.
I used to attend motorcycle roadracing at Poconos Raceway in the late 80's. To get closer to the action, I bought a 400mm telephoto lens with a 2X tele-converter. Just today I mentioned to Dogo in another thread.
I am planning to bring my GoPro HD, my Panasonic camcorder, my Sony Cybershot, and my old trusty manual SLR Yashica FX-3 with the long telephoto lens to MIROCK this weekend! This Yashica SLR camera has been with me for 24 years, it has outlasted my marriage and all my previous girlfriends, lol
