Hi from another older rider
04/03/12 10:04 AM

Hi all
Long time rider, love all bikes especially Kawasakis, perfectly content to sit and stare at my bike(s) when not riding
Currently own a '99 ZRX1100 - been a member over at zrxoa for a few years
The Rex is in need of a few things I wasn't ambitious enough to get at right now, so.....
Picking up a Black '12 ZX14 today
Hope I can keep my license in my pocket

Hey mang! Welcome! You're going to love that scooter.

Now... a weird question for you. Please dont be alarmed. Have you ever referred to yourself on any forum as Hub?

Darryl;
Hey that looks like a Dale Walker pipe on that REX.I was on that site for years.Used Audioboyz there too.I also had a 99 ZRX 1100 with a Dale Walker pipe, stage 3 jets, and filters. And a 49 tooth rear sprocket.Wheelie machine.
Wrecked it and parted it out.Sold most of it on the zrxoa site.Great bunch of people there.I had a 01 ZRX1200 too but I liked the 1100 better.Welcome.Mne was green too.

Thanks for the kind welcome
It gets to 90 so easily too. Damn fine bike, only got 100 miles in yesterday.
Only real gripe other than the wildly weak horn is the reach to the bars. A wee bit too far for my beat-up neck, back, wrists, etc. Risers - any advice? Gen Mar?

Hub? Nope.

Thanks - and here I thought green was fastest all these years. Never wanted a green bike until I saw the ZRX in person.

That's a Muzzy SS/oval - I recall your board name from hanging there so much. An endless well of knowledge on that board. Joining there got me into mod fever, and track days among other things. My 1100 has several mods, my favorite are the pipe, Ivans jet kit/airbox mod (soon to be pods/battery out kit since the carbs are gummed up and no way am I trying to jam those back in with the stock airbox) radial brake setup off an R1 w/ZX636 radial MC, and sweet new steering stem bearings since i dented the f-ck out of the originals from my wheelie addiction (they don't all land so smooth like you'd prefer). I forget the rest cuz I'm senile.

These GenMar Risers are really well built. Tight and they look great. You have to be careful because they are so well machined that you must be aware when you drive them home. I really bought these things because of the looks of them and I thought they may do something for me. The cap over the adjustment nut on the fork was a nice touch. I really did not think that I needed them but I must say that they do make a noticeable difference. I put 49000 on my 08 Kawasaki without them. I must say that the 2012 is more comfy because of the GenMar risers. I bought these things out of a sales firm in Miami, Fl. They were sent from GenMar out of 110 1st street HC#1 Box 35 Arrey, NM 87930. Had I had their phone number I would have ordered these risers from them. I know from the work that they do that they would be a valuable source if we could speak to them directly for other problems that they could solve. Yet another update. So I got the Gen Mar risers - Nice pieces - Only problem is on the throttle side the brake line is too tight - I don't want to leave it with that much tension - any of you '12 owners know a trick other than going to SS lines?
Also - Is it considered ok as far as warranty issues?
