Hehehe-
Unfortunately, I'm not leaning that hard or smoking any tires----but I am getting a little drift slide on the cold streets. Low speed. I'm being very careful even at moderate speeds because I have felt the front slide ever so slightly going into a corner.
Actually, the new zx-10 might become the next bike for me. I'm liking what I'm hearing. Just waiting to find out what the other big 4 do in response. This is just the beginning of a whole new era, I'm sure. I'll probably buy a left over or maybe even a low miles used bike. Really, I have more than I can handle with what I got now. I would be best served with a used, cheap, modded 600 cc track bike.

Look so cool I would almost spend the money to put them on the 14 while it sat over winter. Then the tires would be nice and warm for Spring.
Actually, I was considering going to Walgreen's to pick up a heating pad to use as an oil pan warmer for the busa. She doesn't like the cold much at start up-------but I may be putting her to sleep right after Turkey Day. the 14 might go 'til the end of Decemeber this year. -----or maybe i will get real drift slide practice on the winter streets. You won't be poking fun at me if my tires slide 8,000 miles in the snow with minimal wear!!!

Yes, if you look close at the bike, you will be amazed he is riding it like that.
MotoGP used to be like that, pre-traction-control. Wayne Rainey rode like that at Laguna Seca in 1991 at the U.S. Grand Prix (forerunner of MotoGP). They even named a corner after him, Rainey Corner, because he used to muscle that monster 2-stroke into a huge acceleration slide around it, smoke coming off the rear tire. Then as he exited the corner, the front tire would come off the track, and carry for a few seconds.
Rainey was one fast SOB. If he was young again, with the same skill, he would be current MotoGP champion today, with probably 12 wins this season alone.

Look, you have to remember those are young guys [think] they can ride fast. I had a magazine type try to chase me down in one of my favorite canyons. Little does he know about-2 belly pan that new exhaust can [under the chassis] is compression-canyon waiting for a buckle near you. Anyway... He followed me thru that canyon [decades ago, remember]. We pulled over thinking 'what now, guy?'... I pull my helmet off and he goes, "Oh, it's you." LOL
Slow, did he push that bike to some rational level to explain how well that bike comes on when [he was behind me?] Or was there an ointment in the mix, like, did he pussy-ride the bike? Follow me on some old fill in the blank I'm on, going to work like I know that road cold, charlie tango mansion tower, Over!?
It will take [more balls = Than some mag-writer-rider] to work that ABSpINN-2-Motion, Hello? Geeeeeeeeeee HA!

I have to wonder how many laps he got before the tires went away.
